It hasn’t worked for a while now. It doesn’t matter how close I am. Plus, the phone shows no connection to Bluetooth while I’m in the car. It just just fails to connect when I try. Do I need to set up the PAAK again? I have all functionality except windows, frunk, and hatch.
You can have it done at the dealership. That’s what I did. That was a few days after I bought the car. I still had no auto or schedule for six weeks afterwards. Then an OTA update pushed through and suddenly it was there.
I never have my phone in my pocket because it’s too big. I carry it in my sling bag. I keep my fob in my pocket. Therefore I use it far more than my phone for basic functions.
My Mach e was the same: no auto or scheduling in the menu. I was told by the dealership that the factory default is automatic. They were correct. I got an update after 6 weeks and suddenly the auto and schedule was there.
There’s a glitch in the headlight knob. Oh have to turn the lights off then on again. It’ll work for a while. My dealership says their is no fix yet.
The problem is that, no matter how good the input, the output will suffer due to cheap components such as wires or speakers. So I do what I can on the front end ( Tidal, USB DAC, no Bluetooth). But that’s it. I’m not going to replace components. I’m not in the car enough for it to matter that much.
What really blows me away is how someone has no problem shelling out 70K+ on a MME then seeks out the cheapest route to purchase/install an EVSE! We humans are very strange creatures indeed 🤔
The term DAC means digital audio converter. Music is recorded in analogue. Music is stored in a digital format such as ALAC or mp3. However, in order for us to hear it, it needs to be converted back to analogue as that’s how we hear. Every electronic device that plays audio has a DAC: phones...
My pleasure! I just make it the best I can without diving into replacing things. I don’t spend enough time in the car to care. As long as it’s clean, there’s good separation, and it isn’t tinny sounding, I’m OK!
I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to hardwire it. I had it professionally done. Bought a ChargePoint. Installed a 60 amp breaker and hardwired it. I keep the Ford mobile charger in the car for when I visit my relatives who have 220. Do it right 👍
