Yes, what an unusual winter. Hard to complain about a too small heater when we only have a week of cold weather. If we get back to normal and a stretch of -20 degree days I doubt you'll be happy. Global warming so our worries are over.
Hopefully some smart engineer will come up with a way to make it fit the old ones. That way we could hopefully eliminate one of the three boo boos made on an otherwise very excellent car.
That was overall so when you're crawling through Austin I think it was showing over 4mi/kwh and then we also had some 60-65mph roads, too. I'm just going by what the car says so that might be optimistic like most cars.
We spent 12 days visiting friends from Mn to Texas. The car performed great and we had a very economical trip down thanks to mooching 110v charging and some free chargers. Seemed like we bucked a good wind most of the trip so we averaged only 2.7mi/kwh with a lot of 75 mph driving, but our MME...
We always have the speed sign recognition on and sometimes it will read a county road sign but we also have a stretch of highway where one day it will stay at 60 both ways, another day it goes to 70 one or both ways. I doubt turning off the speed recognition is going to solve it. The other day...
Absolutely agree! After I got rid of the OEM Pirelli skate tires not to be used under 45 degrees and only ran 17.5k because of it, put on the continental A/S's and what a snow machine. I've passed 4wd pickups on slippery roads. Ever notice how the underside is like a toboggan so for short...
Oh yes, I do know if it gets below -20F and at night I don't care what settings or what warming you do you are going to have a cold ride especially if you throw in a good wind. These heaters are way under sized. Surely there must be some type of auxiliary heater that Ford should make available...

I would like to know the same, today we were around 10F and I had forgot to plug in so got down to 13% SOC and I wanted to see if I got the red turtle again but did not. Looks like the worst of our cold might be behind us this winter, next week talking 30F so maybe the worst of these issues is...
A little more on yesterday, I mapped it out and we drove 58 miles at most. We used .73 x 88kwh = 64kwh. I understand that I may have 92 kwh available and if so that would only make matters worse. So that figures out to an overall .9m/kwh. At the 60cent/kwh charger and using $2.70 gas here...
I would like to make a few observations from today. Started with 90% SOC, -6F this morning, remote started maybe 20 minutes before we left for church. Comfortable trip, found that since using manual settings had to turn on the defrost manually once in a while to clear windshield, max def cools...
Thank you for your reply and the depth of your testing, I haven't read through all of it but you obviously have spent a lot of time on this. First off I charge off-peak so that doesn't allow preconditioning when plugged in (unless I leave before 7am). Today it was -6F with 30-40 below wind...
Based on last winter I had decided we'd drive an ICE vehicle when the temp dips below -20F, also had high hopes with one of the OTA updates this summer I believe that mentioned something to the effect that it was improving the heating system. Last night at a relatively balmy -2F had a meeting...
I did search and couldn't seem to find anything that pertinent to my question but I'm sure someone will point out that it's been asked and answered, be gentle.
Is there a way to change the remote start settings for the seats and steering wheel? All I find is off and auto. I use last settings...
We don't have personal property tax and I do get hit with higher insurance, but I don't feel I really paid any extra for my car compared to an ICE car with the same torque and hp. So far I'm pretty sure I'm over $4000 in energy savings in the 19 months I've owned this car. Not to mention that...
