  1. Amazing dealership experience

I’ll chime in my “not all dealers are scumbags” experience here. I picked mine up from Norm Reeves Ford recently and by and large it was a solid experience. To get all of the gripes out of the way upfront: they did try to add the useless extras on the vehicle but upon request removed them...
  2. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Pleased to report that my car (via Convoy from MX) has arrived at the dealer. So that’s about 2 weeks of shipping time to SoCal if it goes straight on a truck and no rail.
  3. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

I don’t think so. That is the correct site, but Jack Cooper removed the VIN search bar for people who don’t work for a dealer (QED, they don’t have login info). Perhaps their servers got too hot. The first time JC removed the customer VIN search bar, they were lazy and just made the VIN box...
  4. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Correct, the online checkout should show up in your online Ford account (where it says what stage your car is at) when it arrives at the dealer.
  5. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

This thread has a lot of info, it’s a year old but I assume Ford hasn’t completely revamped the process. The only thing I don’t see are the past incentives available, only current (interest rate at time of order is supposed to be included in the price protection)...
  6. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Hello fellow SoCal Mach-E buyer. I was a little surprised at the convoy shipping time too…seems like it should be more like 7-10 days. Not sure what dealer you’re picking it up from, but from what I’ve heard the main risk of dealer shenanigans is that they might try to slap on extra packages...
  7. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

They might be including prep time to pad the estimate a little
  8. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Disclaimer: this is complete conjecture intended to provide reassurance, may or may not be true… It may be that there are multiple physical production lines going simultaneously such that different trims might not necessarily be built in numerical order of the batch
  9. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

6987 754/931, just had modules (well, one) show up. It looks like this on Motorcraft when it populates:
  10. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Is your car going to be transported on a train or convoy?
  11. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

I’m 754 in that batch number, let’s goooooooo
  12. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

What does it look like when the modules are “turned on”? And this is on the Motorcraft site correct?
  13. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

Another one for CA here, I also have “Convoy” on my sticker. It would be interesting to know if that means it really does get trucked all the way from Cuautitlán, and how much better / worse that makes the delivery time.
  14. 7/11/22 Build Week Gang

12/27 CA RT1 AWD Rapid Red order. Got my email and VIN after being scheduled for 7/11, then pushed forward to 7/4, and then finally back to 7/11. The build date has since stayed put, but I’m knocking on wood as hard as possible…
  15. ⏱ Mach-E Scheduling Next Week (5/23) For Build Weeks 7/4 Through 7/25

I ordered a CART1 AWD on 12/27 and I just got scheduled last week…priority code 10 in a high-ZEV state. So it wouldn’t have made the wait that much less frustrating. Also, I still haven’t gotten an email notification that it’s been scheduled, weirdly. Not sure if you’re masochistic enough to...
  16. ⏱ Mach-E Scheduling Next Week (5/16) For Build Weeks 7/4 Through 7/25

I didn’t get an email from Ford, but FINALLY scheduled for the week of 7/11. Maybe I’ll get the email on 6/9 at 4:20 pm. *crickets* For further context, I placed the order online, dealer is pretty apathetic and clueless to the whole situation. Priority code 10, 12/27 order, red CA1 AWD
  17. Have to replace all 4 tires at once?

Yeah, major BS. For one, I never understood the “it’s a AWD so you need all tires to be perfectly the same” argument. Unless your car has locking or a(n) super-aggro limited-slip differential(s) and you spend a lot of time driving with them locked on dry pavement, somehow, then yeah, sure...
  18. Mach-E's entire display screen interface to be refreshed later this year (per Farley)

There must have been a misprint or misunderstanding in The Verge interview. If Ford is truly delivering what are supposed to be OTA software-update-capable cars for the first two or three model years, but then those cars can’t run later software overhauls….that’s extremely lame. Especially for...
  19. ⏱ Mach-E Scheduling Next Week (5/2) For Build Weeks 5/30 Through 6/27

I partially chose the CA1 trim because the stated delivery timeframe at time of order was the same as that of the Select (and GT, if I’m not mistaken…only the Premium had the “28+“ week delivery timeframe). I’ve got the prep kit, priority code 10…like I said, in hindsight the CA1 and Premium...
