Ford makes a big deal out of personalization, e.g. 3 memories and all of that for seats, climate -- tons of stuff. And then you reach down to unlock the steering wheel tilt/telescope and adjust it manually. A bit of magic lost. Having said that, agreed. It is a first world problem. ?

My Lincoln MKX has it. As much as the Mach E weighs, the delta weight is negligible. The resultant loss of personalization is inexcusable. It's pissing my wife off already before we even get the car.

Except that my order number has stayed the same since 6/24 despite my two changes. However the changes could have messed up my place in line (despite my reservation number). Am I wrong in thinking that VINs don’t get assigned until production?

I did change the color. That was in addition to making the earlier change from RWD to AWD when Ford dropped the prices. However, the dealer assured me that this wouldn’t affect my place in the queue.

When the road show visited my dealer on 10/19, they said that they had 7 other Mach E customers. I was their first reservation -- 1/8/2020. They were EV certified before then.

Thank you for your suggestion. At this stage, the Mach E helpline (Ford Marketing) can't give any insight and tells me to contact my dealer because I ordered through them instead of online. I appreciate your help.
