Add me to the list of owners dealing with this issue. Been happening for about 3 weeks and still no solution only a temporary fix if the screen decides to be dim. When it is too bright you are SOL. Especially annoying at night when the screen is too bright and you canāt fix it
So did you do some option where the dealer gets the rebate and passes it on to you? Iām fairly certain you can only utilize the $7,500 credit once per year. Iād love to trade up to a GTPE but from what I read you can only utilize it once per year(assuming the company hasnāt used up their 500k...
Thank you for the insight! I still regret not taking my manual ā12 GT out a time or two. Do you have any advice on where to look/find these track days? Iām in metro Detroit so there are a couple legit tracks with public days but havenāt seen autocross
Unfortunately, I havenāt heard anything from Ford yet on this issue. Now that they are officially on this forum hopefully @Ford Motor Company can comment
I have always been curious about doing autocross or even open track days at some of the local tracks around where I live. How much does it shred your tires doing a single day? This is my daily driver so I would rather not kill the car, but wasnāt sure how rough a single day would be on a car...
Thanks, that is good advice. As of now itās fine, I honestly had forgotten about it. I thought that being on one of the raised body lines might cause an issue vs a standard dent on a flat section.
Well itās good to know that other people who grabbed theirs off the lot have gotten them. I was told by the Ford Friends and Family customer service rep(while discussing the roof wind noise issue) that only those who preordered the FE would get them. Guess I will be giving her a call back
It is a problem for this vehicle. Why some have the issue and others donāt is speculation, but it is noticeable if the car is effected. My brother drove in my car one time and had a conference call while on the highway, not knowing the complaint I had about the noise. Immediately after ending...
I got 1/4ā strip off Amazon today. Lot of wind today and driving into it not much of a difference. Driving the opposite direction the noise is reduced similarly to what you mentioned 50% or so.
Has anyone found a way to get the headlights and tail lights to turn off after locking the car or at least significantly shortening the time they stay on after locking/walking away? Seems they stay on for damn near 10 minutes. Havenāt had much luck with the manual.
Update I added to the original post:
*Fordās Friends and Family Customer Service rep reached back out to me and I updated her on what Ford had communicated to the service supervisor at the dealership. As a courtesy for the in inconvenience they offered me an additional 2 years of coverage on...
Excited to hear the results. Iām not that worried that Ford will fix the issue especially since they gave my service rep a corporate answer that suggests they are aware of and working on the problem. More so just how this got to market unless itās an assembly issue
The more I drive it the more surprised I am that this made it to production without being noticed. For those that donāt have the issue or a MME yet, it is the same sound as when you are driving on the highway and there is a strong gust of wind. Now imagine that sound, but itās constant at as low...
Can confirm even with the sun shining in the roof it is not bright or hot. I was showing my mom the car yesterday and she didnāt reali3 it had a full glass roof til I pointed it out and it was sunny with no clouds in the sky. I had the same concern as you did
Subtle does not mean āacceptableā. Ford stated that it is an undesirable characteristic. Being able to hear something only cuz you turned the radio off is not going out of your way to recreate a possible problem. Itās a completely normal thing that people will do all the time
