Sorry friend. You are blaming Ford for a bad decision that you made. It was YOUR decision not to take the care in before the warranty expired. Take responsibility for your decisions!
Toyota, once again, plans more logically than the other manufacturers. I love my Mach e, but would prefer a RAV 4 PHEV (two year wait for them when I got my Mach E). For the amount of battery in a Mach E, one can build 4-5 PHEVs. 5 vehicles going 80-90 % of miles on electric power saves way more...
Um, ā¦, I think it looks better than almost all of them - at least in the price range, and that includes the Ionic5?. There is the Porsche, sure, but I could buy 3 MMEāS for one of those, right.
I agree, Mach-E does look better. But did you actually drive the Ioniq5?
My point was, Mach-E

There is a risk of getting the āoccasional dudā with any type of vehicle. I have now owned 3 electric vehicles and the only cars, that ever stranded me were ICE.
I owned a Volt for 9.5 yrs and did about 85-90% of miles on electricity. It started losing a little range after 7 yrs and at the 9.5...
I lost a cover door on another car years ago in a car wash, but was lucky enough to find it after. Those things just snap on and sometimes come off in car washes. It has nothing to do with a defect in the car.
Looks like a nice car and I hope they sell every one they make. For me, though, itās more money for less range. The deal breaker for me is having to buy the even more expensive model with even less range to get a heated steering wheel. Iām old and love keeping my hands warm!!!!?
Roads cost money and you use them with your mach e! Without the charge, you would be freeloading. I pay an extra fee for my MI plates.
Some states are considering taxing all vehicles based on miles driven to eliminate the gas tax and e car fees, which seems like a good way to do it.
My 2021 had some sort of fluid leak which required battery replacement. Rather than replace the entire HVB, they replaced two of the modules. Ford engineers were involved and actually guided the dealership mech. through the process. It was all done under warranty and the car seems fine now...
whenever I have had an issue I have found both Ford and the dealership to be responsive. That said, they need to get more repair tecs trained and have parts available more quickly.
Iām one of those CR shoppers. I only ignored the CR advice once when buying a car and should have listened to them. The car (a VW) had exactly the problems identified by CR.
Actually, I would prefer a smaller EV for city and short trip driving. As the second car and for or longer trips, a mid-size PHEV would be ideal to avoid the need to charge.
With this combo, 95% or more of my driving would be electric and I wouldnāt need to deal with public chargers.
We leave...
If last century technology gasoline vehicles paid there fair share then EVs would seem cheap. The cost of protecting oil supplies for them (think Iraq wars 1 and 2) about to subsidies of trillions of dollars. Gas should be taxed to pay for those wars.
Well, you allowed 1k depreciation/mo. Itās valued by the market as 23000 now, per your post, so 5 months means anything over 28,000 was you overpaying.
