Kyle Conner has mentioned it twice in two Out of Spec podcast videos on Youtube. I think that he mentioned it on the podcast the day the supercharger network opened and then on a podcast from 2 weeks ago. It has also been mentioned in several articles on the topic.
Buy the universal Wall Connector UNIVERSAL WALL CONNECTOR, which is made by Tesla. It has a native NACS handle but it can be used with your Mach E because it has a integrated J1772 adapter built in. It's currently the only charger that has J1772 and NACS in one unit. This charger will allow...
I'll use once every 3 months for a trip. I'm just trying to avoid the Chevy Bolt and Kia Niro ride share drivers who hog the working chargers charging to 100% at the CCS station on my route. If it wasn't for those drivers, I'd just go to the CCS station.
Folks, Tesla stated this would be the case when they opened up on Feb 29. The stations that are a mix of V2 and V3 will not be opened to non-Teslas for now. I think that mixed stations maybe more complicated seeing as how V2 uses can-bus.
I can't speak to the V3 stations mentioned in this...
I'd do whatever would allow me to do the roundtrip without needing to do a quick charge before the return trip. Doing that allows you to factor in the charger possibly being out of order or something funky happening when you're ready to return.
I agree with Mach on the confirmation bias of the people that have already bought. Based on the youtube videos I've seen, it's not a product I would feel comfortable using or being in a car next to a Tesla that is using it on city streets. But if you watch certain youtube influencers, like Mr...
Ford has to send out an update in order for the V3 superchargers to appear in the nav.
For now use the Tesla app, Ford Pass or ABRP or Plugshare to find V3 NACS superchargers. Even better, use the Tesla website for new stations that we have access to. There are currently, 2 new stations that...
Ok. I just did the math. Here's the equation: 0 adapter stockpile ready for day 1 * unknown production ramp of adapters = numerous automakers customers waiting until late 2024 before receiving an adapter for an 'order' place in Mar 2024. It's just crazy that they didn't have any, not 10, not...
Even if that it the case, and I don't know if it is, I would still find it strange that they wouldn't have their manufacturer produce several thousand that would be ready to ship on day 1. It seems like a reasonable logistics thing to do. I would have the same question for Rivian and GM if it...
Have you planned the route use ABRP? I did it just to see what results I would get and you'd be in a very good position if you had the adapter. You'd would several EA/EvGo/CP chargers but from the looks of things, the majority of your stops would be superchargers. And the good thing on that...
Maybe I was foolish for thinking along those same lines. I had assumed that bc Tesla and it's early partners knew the opening would happen in the spring, Tesla would have worked to ensure that several thousand adapters were available to ship on day one. And then they would switch to increasing...
You do it the Tesla website by only selecting 'Superchargers open to other evs' on the supercharger map. I haven't seen a way to do this in the Tesla app nor Ford Pass, but maybe someone else knows how to do it those apps.
I agree that the angst, real or perceived is overblown. I have zero angst. And if the Tesla driver’s are like the one’s I saw last week when I did my test, they will not even notice or care.
