  1. Mach-E Tax Credit after March 31?

I am just saying that Manchin was not happy that the IRA was not being fully enforced as it was drafted. Personally, I like the incentive to move to domestic EV battery sourcing but I think it takes longer than a year to ramp up domestic battery production so I don't really agree with the...
  2. Mach-E Tax Credit after March 31?

Sure would be nice if the Department of Treasury punted and said they are extending the full tax credit to April 30th. I think Senator Joe Manchin would throw a fit though -- he was not too happy with the Q1 grace period.
  3. Mach-E Tax Credit after March 31?

My Mach-E (built December 21, 2022) will arrive at the dealer around April 10th. Just in time to miss out on the full $7500 tax credit extension that lasted through the end of March, right? So what will the tax credit be on a Ford Mustang Mach-E be starting on April 1? I ordered a Premium...
  4. A Tesla Unplugged Me 😡

This just looks like a Tesla owner refusing to give Elon Musk another cent since people have started taking bets as to whether Tesla will deliver Full-Self Driving before Twitter is driven out of business.
  5. Porsche says One-Pedal is not the most effecient

That would be frustrating to own a car and have software updates remove features and options. But I did call my brother-in-law and he confirmed that the one-pedal "creep" option no longer exists. He says he has a standard and lower setting for regenerative braking though. No "off" setting. I...
  6. Service - Did you actually take in to Dealer

Did I read that right? The dealer is offering to do an "oil change" on your Mach-E?
  7. Porsche says One-Pedal is not the most effecient

i heard the story attributed to Henry Ford and I took it at face value, but now that you mention it, I cannot find any such attribution to him regarding it now, so you may be correct. If this were Wikipedia, then I should have been tagged with “citation needed”.
  8. Porsche says One-Pedal is not the most effecient

I drove my brother-in-law’s Model 3 some years ago. I distinctly remember him turning on the “creep” feature so it would idle forward, but come to think of it, I cannot be sure if he could turn off regen to allow coasting. If so, then that is just as bad on Tesla for not giving the option to...
  9. Porsche says One-Pedal is not the most effecient

The entire argument that not offering 1PD is better is absolutely ridiculous. In every car that offers 1PD, there is an option to turn it off. On my Nissan Leaf, it is literally a physical switch on the center console -- you can turn it off without even taking your eyes off the road. Any...
  10. Porsche says One-Pedal is not the most effecient

Just a lot more annoying. Also, the smell of hot brakes at the bottom of a downgrade is always wonderful, am I right?
  11. Elegant solution for phone charging annoyance in Mach-e, for iPhone users anyway!

Just like @daviper, I was wondering if this is charging at 7.5W or 15W. If 15W then it would have to integrate Apple’s charging pucks (or be MagSafe MFi certified). So my guess is 7.5W charging, but 15W would be really great.
  12. Terrible Highway mileage!

That makes sense. I ordered AWD myself. My understanding is that the Mach-E will reduce or shut off power to the front wheels during freeway driving to safe battery charge, but when you accelerate or begin to turn into a curve or if traction gets lost for another reason, then the power to the...
  13. Terrible Highway mileage!

That ER battery ways a ton. My Nissan Leaf with its 40kwh battery gets 3.6 miles/kwh. If you are getting that in a Mach-E with ER battery at 75mph, I would suspect you are traveling downhill. Most posters on here talk about about getting 2.4 to 2.8 miles per kWh.
  14. Free Public Level 2 Charging Etiquette

This is simple.... if you arrive at a Level-2 charger and somebody is already using it, you leave them plugged in. The only scenarios in which you could justify touching their vehicle and unplugging them are: 1) You can tell the vehicle is fully charged by some visible indicator 2) You know...
  15. Official: Ford cuts 2023 Mach-E pricing 🔻 and increasing production 🔺!

It was supposedly scheduled for build on the week of December 19, 2022. Ford says it was suppose to ship between Jan 15 and 21, but they are trying to get a new shipping date. They did confirm that the vehicle has been built and gave me the VIN number (which disappeared from their website).
  16. Build Finally Scheduled for Week of 12/19/22 -- how long after is delivery?

Ford just gave me a certificate number for the 2022 transitional offer, but would not tell me the amount. I would rather hear the pricing details from Ford before going to the dealer. Did Ford tell you $6500 or was that the dealer?
  17. Official: Ford cuts 2023 Mach-E pricing 🔻 and increasing production 🔺!

Soo..... here is my question.... I checked out my order online and the pricing has not been updated to this. However, does none of this matter to folks who already getting the "private offer" since Ford will just modify the private offer so that you are still basically getting 2022 MSRP?
  18. Build Finally Scheduled for Week of 12/19/22 -- how long after is delivery?

Oddly, I could SWEAR that I used to be able to view VIN number in my order on Ford's website once it was scheduled for production. But the VIN number is no longer displayed.
  19. Build Finally Scheduled for Week of 12/19/22 -- how long after is delivery?

I keep getting emails from Ford saying that I keep getting these emails from Ford.... Last one sent on January 1st. Personally, I am good with the delay right now. I am hoping the stock market swings back up a little so I can better afford the vehicle (many of the investments that I was...
