    They were totally making that up. Thatā€™s what mine said too. I told them ā€œsee you in a yearā€ and they laughed. At this point, Iā€™ll be lucky if itā€™s a year.

    250 days. Same model as you. No production date either (last time I called). I canā€™t see online updates since my order converted from ā€˜21 to ā€˜22 - just shows ā€œorder cancelledā€ online but both dealer and Ford assure me order is still active)
  4. Changing Color on Existing Order

    FWIW, I had the dealer change color for me. Now, I see online ā€œorder cancelledā€ where I used to see my order. Dealer says order still exists. Person #3 (#1&2 pretty useless) at Ford Customer service says it exists. I just canā€™t see my order anymore.

    Thanks for the thoughtful analysis. Thatā€™s helpful perspective. The only question I have for you is about the 2% failure rate overall. Is that a lifetime rate? If yes, it would still seem that a 0.4% fail rate on cars that are all less than a year old is high. What do you think?

Since steering is 100% electronic (no mechanically connected parts, right?) in an event like this with complete power loss, how does steering (or braking) function at all? Or have I misunderstood how it works? Or anyone else who wants to...
