They were totally making that up. Thatās what mine said too. I told them āsee you in a yearā and they laughed. At this point, Iāll be lucky if itās a year.
250 days. Same model as you. No production date either (last time I called). I canāt see online updates since my order converted from ā21 to ā22 - just shows āorder cancelledā online but both dealer and Ford assure me order is still active)
FWIW, I had the dealer change color for me. Now, I see online āorder cancelledā where I used to see my order. Dealer says order still exists. Person #3 (#1&2 pretty useless) at Ford Customer service says it exists. I just canāt see my order anymore.
Thanks for the thoughtful analysis. Thatās helpful perspective. The only question I have for you is about the 2% failure rate overall. Is that a lifetime rate? If yes, it would still seem that a 0.4% fail rate on cars that are all less than a year old is high. What do you think?
@Jon
I have a question Iām thinking you can answer. Since steering is 100% electronic (no mechanically connected parts, right?) in an event like this with complete power loss, how does steering (or braking) function at all? Or have I misunderstood how it works?
Or anyone else who wants to...
