I've used cable chains successfully on other low-clearance vehicles in the past without issue. My GTPE currently has the original PZero 245/45 R20 tires on it, with the fronts nearing tread minimum. Torn between (1) getting best year-round new tires (for NorCal non-snow driving) and (2)...
Thanks Steve. Just to clarify, either rotation pattern is okay? Front-back-swap-on-same-side or the diagonal-fronts-to-opposite-rear pattern? I am familiar with the margin factor on torque wrenches, and yes, a torque wrench whose nominal top end is 150 is not a good idea here. Thanks for the...
Doubt I will taking my 2022 Mach-E GTPE to the mountains/snow before current P Zero's (factory originals) are shot. Is there a minimum temperature at which these can be driven? Tire Rack's web site lists the PZ4 as a "Max Performance Summer" tire and talks about warranty not applicable below...
Just reading tire rotation threads on this forum for the first time. My GTPE has its original P-Zero's on it. The tires have "Outside" labeled on them, but not rotational information. So it would seem to me that same-side rotation or fronts-diagonal-to-rear rotation would be acceptable...
I am extremely skeptical that the axle clunk I was experiencing is a function of tires. Not saying yours isn't, just saying mine strikes me as a clear mechanical flaw in the CV joint functionality.
In the case of my Mach-E, it's fairly easy to replicate by full turning of the steering wheel left or right, particularly when entering / exiting a driveway curb cut (elevation change). It only happens at low speed tight turns. I've experienced going forward and backward, left and right. The...
Is there a sticky that explains the many acronyms that are used on the Mach-E threads? I don't seen one scanning the forum's top level topics.
EDIT: Found one here.
I took my 2022 Mach-E GTPE in to my local Ford dealer for the first time, ~14,000 miles. Axle clunk on both sides, forward and backward, was getting noticeably worse. After dealership having the car for a couple days, doing the HVBJB recall service, and rotating the tires, my service contact...
Overall very pleased with my '22 GTPE. It's going into the dealer for the first time next week for the front axle clunk issue, and I'm confident both sides need to be replaced. The main display has been rebooting a few blocks into each drive in recent months, which is only mildly annoying. I...
A friend was killed in May when a Tesla came over the centerline of CA Hwy 1 and hit him head on. Friend's wife nearly perished, but life-flighted to the hospital and survived. Tesla driver also perished. Both vehicles ended up in an adjacent lagoon. I've wondered what black box data has...
I've recently experienced three issues that are new, and coincide with recent updates:
mirrors not folding
screen locks up, blank
very slow boot and appearance of main screen and its functionality
folding mirror issue has gone away. screen locked up only once thus far, about a week ago. slow...
I drive my '22 F350 Powerstroke 6.7L *or* my '22 Mach-E GTPE over to the coast and back, 110 miles round trip, a couple times a week, and the 17mpg diesel is 3x the cost of the PG&E-based kWh that makes the same trip. I drive the Mach-E fairly hard, and see ~2.4mi/kWh. And while I have ample...
I routinely do 2+ hr each way road trips. A bit of planning, but not much, and swipe-to-charge and EA look-ahead were tactics I learned quite early, and have greased the EA experience quite a bit. No way is my GTPE a groceries-only golf cart. I'm sure the infrastructure is going to mature...
I am trying to set up my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone as my key, and in the Ford Pass app, I see the PAAK start link, but when I click that, I get the authentication screen (fingerprint, face scan or PIN). I cannot get past that authentication screen. I assume the PIN it wants is my phone unlock...
