I had this problem with my 2021 Mach-E GT PE. My dealer fixed the problem, but I don't think it was ever quite right again, since the car seem to make an additional noise that wasn't there prior to this issue occurring. The dealer said it wasn't an issue and did not pursue it further.
While I agree that EV drivers should be courteous and respectful when using DCFC, people should not pass judgment on those charging to 100%. I was driving last weekend across three states and needed 100% charge to get to the next charging station. This was particularly an issue on a hot day...
I have had pretty good luck with @Ford Motor Company when I reach out to them via Twitter. See if you can get your case assigned to one of their customer support agents. I would not be surprised if they offered to reimburse your rental car costs.
When I had an extended repair, the dealership...
I'm not sure what you mean by "unlock the performance"? The GT and GTPE have the larger motor in the front of the vehicle, so you can't increase the performance via software.
Does anybody know if the HVBJB hardware issue (not just fixed with the software update) has been fixed? Will cars manufactured this June still be subject to this potential problem?
This problem happened to me on my 2021 GTPE. It took over four weeks to repair. There was no indication of an issue other than the powertrain malfunction message. After the repair, the car made a wind-like noise which the dealer said was nothing, but I could hear a difference.
I won't get into the details, but to say that @Ford Motor Company fixed the issue and still offered to swap the car out for a new one. Great customer service.
I thought that I'd join this thread. My new MME GT PE is scheduled for production on June 6th. This unit is replacing my 2021 MME GT PE that Ford is repurchasing from me under the GA lemon law. No window sticker yet.
The car had a significant electrical issue. The dealership ultimately repaired the car, but Ford still offered to repurchase the vehicle due to safety concerns. Still working on the financial details.
Ford has kindly offered to repurchase my 2021 Cyber Orange Mach-E GT Performance Edition and help me purchase a replacement vehicle. The main caveat is that the selling dealership must sell the new car to me at MSRP. I really want another Cyber Orange GT PE, but there does not appear to be any...
Continuing the saga with my dead-Mach-E problems (https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/powertrain-malfunction-saga-continues.26064/), my dealership has advised me that they cannot unlock the car to get inside, despite having the key fob, keypad code, and jumping the LV battery. I cannot...
Back in early January, I posted about a powertrain malfunction error message on my MME GT PE. It turned out to be a faulty motor oil pump. After over a month in the shop, the pump was replaced and the car returned back to me. They did not replace the motor, though I thought maybe they should...
Thanks for the info. I'm trying to figure out how to share this advice with the tech at the dealership. I may have to go into the shop since the service advisor is keeping me at arm's length.
