Feels like getting to the point everyone in this build week has their MMEs.
Maybe the wife will let me tAke it this weekend. It was nice today so I drove the 66 Mustang GT.
Last weekend a Camaro SS was unpleasant to me on the highway so I did a demo of the MME acceleration.
Iāve only driven our Mach-E a little since itās my wifeās car and itās really impressive. Reminds me a lot of my Porsche Macan GTS except faster! And we only got a Premium 4X extended range.
For reference. Replacement half-shaft was ordered on 9/19. Arrived to dealer on 9/20.
I still don't think I'll have the car until October. Something else will come up.
Sales manager called me to apologize for sales guy calling too early
I did learn the half-shaft inspection is not a dealer call. They take photos and send to Ford for review and approval to sell as is or have to order new part. Still hope!
Ours arrived at the dealership this morning! Scheduled for 3pm to pick up.
Just kidding. It has the bad half shaft. The wait continues. My October prediction is looking pretty good.
Stumbled on this article. Interesting how the combo of driver shortage and how each driver picks their route and therefore pay has a large bearing on deliveries.
For example, my MME sits 20 miles from the dealership at a NS yard with a Jack Cooper hub adjacent to a Ford assembly facility. But...
nice color!! Itās been 305 days since we ordered. Still just sitting at the rail yard 20 miles away.
You should give them the 5 stars. You made an agreement. Regardless how bad the experience was.
Even with the NS rail stop, a Ford assembly plant, a Jack Cooper main hub, and only 20 miles away. It takes them over 2 weeks to move a car that far. And the halfshaft recall with its lack of part availability.
