I recently did the same for my 2022 GTPE with 33,000KM and got a similar $35k trade-in valuation. The best part was the follow-up email from someone at Tesla asking if I had any questions of if they could help in any way. I replied that if/when they want to send me a serious trade-in value, we...
I honestly thought I was going to be spared. But alas, it was not to be.
Last Sunday, I had to have my car towed to the Ford dealer for the dreaded error messages that are associated with the HVBJB. Car was essentially bricked and refused to start. Took the dealer over a week just to get the...
Have you tried deleting Home and recreating it? I had this happen before and I deleted my home location, plugged it into the charger for about 20mins, disconnected and went back into the car and re-set my home location and charging target. Hasn't been a problem since. If you haven't yet, I would...
Departure Time in the app is a dumpster fire and never works for me, even if I first use the lock / unlock feature first to establish connectivity with the car.
Have you rebooted your Wallbox units? I got my GTPE around May 2022 and had a couple of charger errors from the Wallbox Plus. I made sure the latest firmware was installed and rebooted and charger worked fine ever since.
Let's see if charging networks actually make this change. I suspect they make more money when charging by the time rather than kWh so will be interesting to see if they make the move or not.
I had a similar scenario and I simply put the car in neutral when I was coming to a stoplight and used the brakes instead of regen braking. Did that for a 30mile drive and presto, brakes are fine again. See the Mach-E manual on page 318...
If DCFC operators and networks finally decide to start charging idling fees, this problem would hopefully go away. Those idling fees should feel punitive IMO, after a short grace period, to discourage continued hogging of charge ports. While they SAY they will charge idling fees, I've not seen a...
This may seem unrelated but I've had a similar issue. I eventually restarted my Sync4 and everything went back to normal. I believe it is press volume down + seek arrow right for a few seconds and your screen will go black and reboot. I was grasping at straws and that, for some reason, worked.
I'm constantly reminded of my multiplication tables where I calculate distance remaining based on efficiency (km/kwh) multiplied by 9 (to estimate the 91kwh battery when full) times the % battery remaining.
Short answer is, now that I've gotten used to it (my first winter with an EV) I would...
Can you point to a reference that confirms this? I'd love to know where I can find that since I've not seen any indication that the car was doing anything on any of the displays.
I was quoted just shy of $5k + tx for full car coverage with 7mil PPF but that's for a shop not in the heart of TO so your prices may vary based on that alone.
I've avoided setting a time window in my EVSE because I found that if I set a departure time in the car, the EVSE refused to provide power if that departure was outside the scheduled active window. Because of that I only set charge times in the car and allow my EVSE to power at any time the car...
