As far as Iā€™m aware they didnā€™t say it wasnā€™t possible. They did say that if it was implemented at the moment without an audible warning as the car was less secure as it couldnā€™t be double locked with walk away locking then the cars insurance group would increase by 2 points. Does your car...

In my experience the dealers wonā€™t help with OTA problems as theyā€™re not covered under warranty and will just threaten to charge you. Well, that was my experience with Evans Halshaw and Macklin motors! Iā€™ve got a 21 model and had issues with version 1.7.1. Ended up having to get the Ford EV team...

I would hardly say the updates necessarily equate to improvements. Half of them seem to be fixing things that werenā€™t working as planned originally!šŸ˜‚ And then thereā€™s the growing number of features that have been removed from FordPass. And they still canā€™t show the charging speed in the carā€¦šŸ˜œ

Sounds like typical Ford messaging! At least they let the people who it wasnā€™t working for and werenā€™t able to use it know that it was being withdrawn!šŸ¤Ŗ

You shouldā€™ve had a message on the FordPass app to say the feature was being temporarilyā€™ removed. It never worked for me anyway. Most of the messages in my app are about features being removed!šŸ˜‚

Yeah, if itā€™s any consolation I got another update today after my 20 minute drive to work so theyā€™re still updating the ones that are a wee bit behind. It was priority update: 22-PU0706-SCH-POPA Iā€™m slowly catching up so hopefully you shouldnā€™t be far behind. šŸ˜€

I donā€™t have a ā€˜remote start via wi-fiā€™ function. My remote start works as long as the car has access to a cellular network like when Iā€™m at work so it is not reliant on wi-fi. Ford have advised me that the wifi only remains on for a maximum of 15 minutes once vehicle is switched offšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø 2...

The problem with that though is the phrase ā€˜stands to reasonā€™ which Iā€™ve found rarely applies with Ford. If the car was always connected to wifi I donā€™t believe that so many people would be having issues with the OTA updates. Sorry, but this is a sore subject for me based on the issues Iā€™ve...

I donā€™t know if it would be worth it to be honest. You would have to know that the update was available to download for your vehicle as Ford seem to release them in batches. Otherwise you would just be leaving your car on for nothing. Iā€™m only on 2.6.0 and have had the car 2 years. Ford seem...

Can I ask what evidence that you have that the car is connected to wifi when itā€™s off and that the downloads occurred when it was off? In the 2 years Iā€™ve had my car itā€™s only shown on my network when itā€™s powered on or for a few minutes after being turned off. The guidance youā€™ve quoted seems...

Iā€™m only speculating on this based on my year long journey of trying to get successful OTA updates but it seems youā€™re more likely to get the updates if the car is driven more often. The duration of the ā€˜drive cycleā€™ also plays a part. This is the time between car being switched on and then...

Iā€™m in exactly the same boat. I was updated to 2.3.0 in February this year. The most recent update I got was: Priority Update 22-PU0727-VI-FXA on 16/6/23 Nothing yet about the recent batches but I donā€™t know if I need to go through any previous updates to catch up first! I posted about it on...

Some interesting details on the most recent OTA updates. Iā€™ve had the car for 2 years and only now finding out about the updates and ā€˜drive cyclesā€™!šŸ˜‚

Stop showing off!:p The last update I got was 2.6.0 10 days agoā€¦ Of course, Iā€™m a model year 2021 whoā€™s had software issues for over a year so I guess Iā€™m still playing catch up.šŸ˜‚

There are a lot of variables but Iā€™ve only really saw it go that low when the car is up near 100% on the rare occasions I charge that high. Other than that it sits at 7kw.

Thanks Wonky :) At least Ford donā€™t seem to have forgotten about me againā€¦.wait over a year for a OTA update then 3 come along at once!šŸ˜‚ I take it that you got a successful update at some point after the pings?

Was wondering if anyone has been having phantom OTA updates recently. In the last 3 weeks Iā€™ve had the icon pop up in the car on occasion saying that an update has been successful but nothing has changed. Yesterday, it happened a third time and it also popped up on the FordPass app as well...

In my experience it still drops at 80% but just not like a stone like it used to do prior to the update. Mine used to drop to about 7kw and after the update it was about 30kw but I very rarely go that high on DC. There is no way to check in your car if you have it other than checking the...

U.K. getting BlueCruise in Summer 2023

When the car first went on sale in the UK (2021 models) there was no ā€˜tech packā€™ or many other options to pick. There were 4 options. 2 extended range (rwd & AWD) and 2 standard range models. The hardware needed for Bluecruise, like the eye tracker, was only fitted to the extended range models...

I believe the TSB is the way to go. I had to get the Ford UK customer service team involved as the dealer I was using wasnā€™t interested in sorting the OTA problem. They would only look at something if it popped up when they plugged my car in! Ford UK said they sent them the details on how to...
