Who's got cool vanity license plate tags?? Let's share some ideas across the 50 states!
Just ordered: 88K WPH for my GT in Hawaii.
(hint) 88 MPH was already taken at the DMV.
After living in Hawaii most of my life I'll say that drinking Kona Coffee from the 3,500 acres of volcano land on the Big Island is an awesome experience. If you love coffee and can afford $50/pound coffee beans, then you should try to order some Kona Coffee that can be delivered to your house...
My old tires P-Zero at 90% charge were solid at 230 mile range with half tread life (same commute every day), the new tires dropped the range to 220 miles (disappointing) after a week of driving, then slowly returned to around 223 mile range after 5,000 miles of driving (same commute with...
Yeah, I haven't noticed any big handling changes. However, I take freeway 'semi-sharp' merging turns at around 60 MPH with zero loss of control. I'm not much into track racing so that's my limit on the handling part. A bit less noise no significant differences otherwise.
After tire break in period ~5,000 miles, still seeing a slight 3% loss of range from the Bridgestone Turanza EV tires as compared to the tires I replaced(stock Pirelli P-Zero) on the GTPE. =(
I'm looking forward to 1.3 to test out how it works on the narrow lanes of H1 Interstate in Honolulu. Let's just hope it can drive me all the way to work instead of half way to work. ROFL
Happens to me only occasionally, drive mode gets reset to Engage Mode. It will not switch to Unbridled typically for the rest of the trip. Eventually the car allows you to change back to other modes. Annoying bug.
My initial estimates on these Turanza tires is you will lose some range as compared to the PZero Pirellis. I'm estimating around 20-25 miles of range loss on a 90% full to 20% battery charge, or around 10% less mileage on a GT Performance model.
Three 50 mile round trips to work usually...
Update: Tires are harder than the Pirelli PZero's so they tend to slip a bit on a slow roll launch. Hope that translates to more road miles before the tread wears out. Quieter for sure. Still evaluating the handling and range.
