  1. Service Scheduling Problem

Mike, what type of charging have you tried (L1, L2, L3)? Are there any warning messages present in car? Does the charge ring turn red when you plug it in?
  2. On demand preconditioning

By the way, believe it or not, I actually saw my kwh to empty increase while doing this procedure due to the temperature increase in HVB. Going from 48F to 68F HVB temp, I saw kwh to empty increase 1.6 kwh. Nothing to write home about but if you do this just prior to an impromtu trip, you...
  3. On demand preconditioning

OP: If you have a DCFC within 20 miles of your house and select it as a destination in native Nav system with the car fully on, the car will immediately begin heating the battery if it would have done so while actually traveling. I did this last month when our temps in West TN was in single...
  4. Turtle Mode With ~30% Left (Cold Weather Warning)

Yeah, it is more than I need to do for our conditions or typical conditions for our part of the country; but we do travel during the winter months. We went to Abilene, TX last January when an ice storm came through the area. Temperatures were about where ours are right now maybe a little...
  5. Turtle Mode With ~30% Left (Cold Weather Warning)

We have been between 4F to 29F for the past week with several inches of snow and ice here in West TN. This is very unusual for our area of the country. I have several DCFC's within 20 miles of the house. Initially I would setup a departure time and let the heaters be powered from the L2...
  6. Preconditioning the battery before fast charging is no longer happening

Hi Shayne. I mentioned the efficiency numbers solely as a couple of data points. You are correct in that they have no influence over the heating of the battery; I did mention that I had turned off the heaters for cabin use prior to setting the nav route to the charger. And then mentioned that...
  7. Preconditioning the battery before fast charging is no longer happening

OP: Rick, the wife and I did an unplanned day trip to Fort Campbell base in Clarksville, TN this past Saturday in our 23 premium ER RWD MME. Once she decided she wanted to go, I plugged MME in and charged from 83 to 93% while we were getting ready. Temperatures outside were in the upper 30's...
  8. Trip Report Columbia, MO to Memphis, TN

Glad you had a fairly uneventful trip to Memphis. I live just East of Memphis in Fayette County. Fast chargers are kinda scarce down here right now. There are two Ford dealerships in the area that should get their fast chargers installed and operational this year. These are supposed to be /...
  9. Are Grizzle chargers trash now?

I have had two Grizzl-E chargers; I bought a single car charger, 40 amp classic, in June 2022 and had zero issues with it for eight months. I typically charged at least 5 nights/week. In March 2023, I bought a Grizzl-E Duo to replace the single car classic. I have had zero issues with it as well.
  10. Recording kWh's used

When I monitor my L2 charge via car scanner app, I see a charge rate of 8.8 to 9.1 kw/hr. I have a 40 amp Grizzl-E Duo charger. It is rare that I have to charge them both at the same time but it is nice to be able to if the need arose. Of course total power would be split between the two MMEs.
  11. Preconditioning the battery before fast charging is no longer happening

I did a road trip in early December from Memphis TN to Columbus OH to Kingsport TN and then back to Memphis TN over the course of 4 days. I DCFC at 6 different EA stations along the routes; I created my route in FP app and downloaded it into Nav system in the car. On the initial trip to...
  12. Recording kWh's used

Hello, I created a spreadsheet in Excel. The calculations use a lot of assumptions so no need for anyone to get upset about them. I log the starting HVB SOC % and the target SOC % that I am charging to in the first two columns. The next two columns have a formula to convert the %s to kwhs...
  13. Drive until empty

Whenever I do a road trip, I have my OBDII reader (same one mentioned in earlier post) plugged in and connected to Car Scanner app on a cell phone. I mainly monitor kwh to empty and charging limit parameters. Using the kwh to empty and displayed efficiency and doing some quick math in my head...
  14. Stuck on 6.1.0 (Not MY21)

My '23 downloaded and installed -PLO, -RAD-ON, and 6.13.0 within a 24 hour period this past Tuesday and Wednesday. Supposedly AM radio was supposed to be activated via the -RAD-ON OTA (according to power up site GitHub) but I have yet to see it on my UI. I don't listen to AM radio so not big a...
  15. Stuck on 6.1.0 (Not MY21)

I got 6.8.0 on Monday; and then got -PLO and -RAD yesterday within a couple of hours of each other. Definitely rolling. My '22 got 6.8.0 last Sunday.
  16. Hight Voltage Battery overheating during charging on L2 after OTA

I don't currently have my Ford mobile charger; a friend of mine has it. His mobile charger failed and I let him borrow mine. Sorry.
  17. Hight Voltage Battery overheating during charging on L2 after OTA

My 23 premium ER RWD installed 6.7.0 on 12/13 and then installed the 23-PU0722-DC-CHG3 on 12/15. I started a L2 charge (Grizzl-E 40A 240V) at 10:09 am CT this morning. I am monitoring the charge via CarScanner app; so far my charger input power has been between 8.9 to 9.1 kw (normal value)...
  18. Stuck on 6.1.0 (Not MY21)

I think so but I'm not sure. I haven't listened to AM radio since the 1970's lol. I rarely listen to FM; I mostly listen to SiriusXM. I checked today to see if one of the recent power ups had added AM radio but so far none of them have. My 2023 installed 6.7.0 on Wednesday. It did install...
