Great info @SpaceEVDriver ! I also found out about the crowdsourced site http://fastcharger.info/changes on the Tesla Motor Club forum.

any website (official or crowdsourced) for tracking NEVI-funded charging installations?

With FY2023 NEVI plans approved last Sept (2022), is there any central/official website for tracking all planned NEVI-funded charging installations and their status (state approved, permitted, construction started, construction completed, powered up, and open)? Or any crowdsourced website with...

Rotary shifter confusion going into R from D

This shifter is not exclusive to the MME. Other Fords have. Apparently, a few other manufacturers have this stupid shifter. "TOP GEAR: Change Our Mind #10: rotary gear selectors are dumb" https://www.topgear.com/car-news/change-our-mind-10-rotary-gear-selectors-are-dumb

Rotary shifter confusion going into R from D

While I'm ranting, but button in the center should have been Park. And neutral doesn't need to be on the shifter. The only time it's needed is for automated car washes. That can be a menu option for car wash mode. Matt's ideal MME shifter (return to center): left to reverse, right to drive...

Rotary shifter confusion going into R from D

Rotary shifters are a mistake and shouldn't be permitted on cars (IMHO :-) ). I have no strong feelings 🤣. It's unsafe. It's the one thing I like least about the Mach E (besides the lack of CCS charging locations and numbers of stalls, but that's another conversation). You shouldn't have to...

Old Ford chime when door is open

The blue box is on when cruise control is off. It shows how close you are to the car in front of you. Blue is good. Orange (I think) is when you’re too close. Red is when you’re way too close. I actually love this and wish more cars had it. It gets you to try and maintain a 3 sec response...

looking for site listing detailed status of upcoming DCFC installs (not plugshare)

I do submit updates to Plugshare. This one was already on Plugshare (I said it wasn't on the EA map). It was added 2022-04-27. The supercharge.info site just has so much more info and the linked forum posts are particularly helpful and very active. It blows Plugshare away.

looking for site listing detailed status of upcoming DCFC installs (not plugshare)

On the Tesla side, there's a community-driven, unofficial site https://supercharge.info/changes that lists upcoming Supercharger stations with status updates of permit/construction/open/temporarily closed/permanently closed. And they indicate how many stalls and per unit wattage. Even better...

Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

Re: getting cars to use the 150kW chargers when they can't meaningfully get a better experience on the 350kW units... The chargers talk to the cars. I know the car tells the charger what it's max capacity is. Do the chargers tell the cars what the charger capacity is?? What is the wire-line...

Electrify America - Redesigned labels coming to a charge station near you

They should have gone for prefixes with known ordering: kilo-fast: chademo 50kW mega-fast: 150kW CCS giga-fast: 350kW CCS The other problem is you have two plugs with different ratings (if you have chademo), so you'll have two banners on each charger. The new chargers look nice with one long...

Which charging networks are worth paid plan?

Which charging networks are worth paid plan?

With BOCN Plug-n-charge, how do I tell if I am paying the full rate or a discounted rate? Am I part of the discount program? The email receipt (that I receive 0-7 days later), only says how much I was charged. I don't even know if this is per kWh or per minute. Here's a sample receipt...

I believe this message is about the 12V battery and not the high voltage drivetrain battery. So I don't think it could effect range. I could be wrong.

    CarPlay observations and questions

I've had my car since Dec. Wireless CarPlay has gotten much better (I think it was the 2.8.1 update or the overheating contractor OTA that made it better). Until the July OTAs, wireless CarPlay was only working ~30% of the time. Now I'd say it works ~80% of the time. Observation 1: when...

    Mach-E wave?

There are a lot more Mach E's than there were when this thread started. The other day (in Mass), I was driving to work and there was a Mach E in front of me on the highway and then there was one to my right in the exit lane. The three of us is the most I've seen at one time so far! I always...
