    GRABBER BLUE Mach-E Club

The intensity of lightness of the blue changes depending on the ambient light. Where I live its overcast and appears darker than in the video and image you posted. When I visited California it was sunny the entire time I was down there. In that lighting the color was similar to what you...

Updated: Crazy Repair Cost after minor incident- Car is totaled

Ford should at the very least should discount the new battery since they can reuse some of the components in the old battery. Something like a core value that you get for turning in an old 12v battery. Sure the core value would not be very substantial but the components can be reused in a...

    OTA Power Up 1.7.1 preview

I reached out to @Ford Motor Company and they DM'd me to get a case opened with their support team. They confirmed some contact information with me and then had a support rep call me within a few days. The rep was very polite but they are tier 1 support only. Although they were able to...

    Apple CarPlay connectivity issues

I had similar problems with CarPlay. I had to reset the car to get it working again. My Flex sometimes has issues with CarPlay until I upgraded the Sync version. I stopped using Wireless CarPlay because the wireless charging was never able to charge sufficiently while Wireless CarPlay was...

    Grabber Blue in Stripes

I almost got the matte black stripes but thought it would look too funky with all the other gloss black on the car. If the other black was matte I think it would have looked awesome.

    Grabber Blue in Stripes

Similar to @nfoxtrot but stripes are slightly slimmer. Love the way they came out. The detail shop did not remove the pony emblems; instead opting to cut out around them. IMO it gives a nice little blue border around the ponies.

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

The hotels that had chargers were very slow chargers. When I got to the hotel it said it would take over a day to charge. I'm not sure of the speed of the chargers so I just did 80% DCFC then let it charge overnight. I wasn't too worried about getting all free charging just wanted 100% when I...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

I didn't do the range calculations, in hindsight maybe I should have, but I did see that my m\kwh was low. I tried to keep the car 75 or below on highways where possible. Only on the 80 stretches did I do 80-85. As I have no hard data I will say that I felt more comfortable going 70-75 than...

4K Miles Road Trip and Charging Strategies

ABRP worked great on my trip. There were some chargers that were in the planned route I could have avoided so I would say that ABRP did suggest more frequent charging. For now, on a road trip, I’d say 80% of your total range you should use as your calculated range.

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

I called. The only hotels were the ones down the 5 for me. I choose to stick with a specific chain for comfort and convince rather then who had chargers. Calling around is the only way I know. PlugShare may be good resource But I don’t think you can filter on hotels. Would be a nice...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

I just don’t feel comfortable having someone else follow those instructions to put the car in true neutral. I had valets refuse to take the car because of the passcode. It’s simple enough to you and I but for some people it will be uncomfortable for them or they won’t pay attention to your...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

Glad I could share my perspective. Most of the anxiety was due to the DCFC scarceness in some stretches of highway. If one of the chargers I had to use were out I’d be waiting a long time for a charge. I checked PlugeShare for status and validate before I left previous charging stop. I’m...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

There is about 160 miles between Huntington and Hermiston. That section tons of opportunities for regen as you coast down sections. I don’t remember losing very much battery during that run. Im not certain what would be the best spot to add more chargers. I know Le Grande has some chargers...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

I know what you mean, I was worried before I started my trip. I wanted to experience the rang anxiety for myself which prompted the trip. I actually stopped in Huntington early in the morning. The EA chargers worked great. I had originally planned to stop in Le Grande but bypassed and went...

Mach-E Road Trip: Seattle to Los Angeles and Back - Experience, Data, Impressions

Infrastructure in Cali was the best. NV is only good in Vegas area. Wouldn’t take trip up thru the 93 If you have the choice. There is only 1 DCFC in the middle of that route. Utah was ok and Idaho less so. In Idaho there was one stretch where, if the charger was dead, I would have been in...
