  1. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

I used a fish tape and pulled the wires, with connectors, while my son and I pulled the grommet out to straighten it. Only took a few minutes per side.
  2. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

I used the soft close latch, but the hatch didn’t close all the way (about 1/4” from perfect) and the latch rattled when driving. I fixed this by putting approximately 1/4” to 3/8” of washers on the backside of the latch, inside the hatch. This pushed the latch further up into the hatch and...

Yes, the Sync UI will open and close the trunk.
  4. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

I also routed the latch motor to the right side and put it behind the right panel, but I didn’t like the idea of mounting it only with adhesive tape like the manual said. Not sure if you’re referring specifically to the Foot kick sensor, but I did just finish installing the kit without the foot kick sensor on my 2022 select AWD and it works perfectly
  8. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

I’m new to this forum and I’m not sure if everyone knows that you can buy the Autoease kit in a different way. If you click on the Powered by Autoease Technology link, at the bottom of the Autoease website, you can buy the kit without the foot kick sensor and save $69. It’s not much, but at...
  9. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

Thanks for the Info. Now I can finish this project and put all the interior panels back on.
  10. Finally got around installing the aftermarket autolift gate with foot module for CR1

I installed the Autoease kit this weekend, but I’m not sure where to grab power from. Is there a usable power source in the rear hatch area? If not, is there a specific fuse in the fuse block that people are using?
