Blazer EV looking more and more enticing now...
I'd still choose GTE over MYP for same reasons. Seats as well. MYP to me is pretty poor value. All you really get is just software tweaks at the end of the day.
I wonder if the '23 mach-e will still have LFP for standard range. Or maybe that'll be for ROW only now. I was looking forward to a standard range LFP with the tax credit but that seems unlikely now.
I'm thinking about purchasing a Mach-E Premium ER-AWD, but I'd like to test drive it first. I called my local dealers and they said they won't have it until late March. I would need a car by May, is it realistic to be able to purchase one by then? I know they are limiting first year production...
Oops, never tried to imply that it was unique to Tesla. I only have experience with that in my Tesla so I'm just comparing it with a situation I'm familiar with. I'm sure a lot of other models do that, so I was just wondering if Ford implemented it for this specific car.
I think they give 2 of those cards because there isn't a pincode method. If your phones dead you have to use the card, while the oFrd you can use a pincode.
I hope it is reliable though. No reviewers I've seen said otherwise so far. 1 thing i like about PAAK is that, my gf has access whenever...
I think benefits still exist when a permanent magnet motor is not being driven. IIRC a Ford engineer was explaining why the AWD still yields a lower range with the assumption that the front wheels aren't always driven.
Keep in my EPA defaults to 2 test cycles with an option to do a 5 test cycles to better your score. So far only Audi and Tesla chose to go through the 5 testing cycles.
Another note, EPA tests every drive mode. Off throttle regen yields higher numbers than blending regen with the brakes. That's...
Maybe they are comparing the Mach-E to the MYP? They did mention the MYP for range so maybe the MYP handles better due to the much better tire. Mach-E is using skinny tires (225) that are range oriented. Matt Farah said that the biggest drawback to the handling is the tire, next is the...
Do you mean Tesla's FSD? Autopilot is just auto steer and ACC but you still have to keep your hands on the wheel.
In terms of pricing, $1400 is still less of what I expected. I thought it would be a subscription based service like Cadillac. I hope there is a free trial so I can gauge how good...
Pretty sure they just need to make more money before the quarter ends. They are also offering a $4k option for "enhanced autopilot" only until the end of this month.
This is with a roll, and tesla's have clocked in faster in real life.
What I want to know most is if the performance is sustainable. Do we have any information on that? Like the Taycan is capable of delivering full power regardless of SoC and is also less prone to overheating.
Well tesla model Y is:
314 mile wltp
316 mile epa
WLTP has a more consistent method of measuring EVs
In terms of 0-60, Tesla does a 1 ft roll out for their performance cars but does 0-60 for their other models. For electric cars, 1 ft rollouts yield a faster time than 0-60. Gas cars benefit...
Loaner was a 2018 model S75D with 24k miles. There are some reports about the model 3 but not much. I think the model 3 and Y is better at it. It's in the model 3 manual as well so that makes me believe the internal counter is still in there.
Idk if this has been talked about, but Tesla has an internal counter for the amount of supercharges you've used. They'll throttle your charging speed. My neighbor and a loaner car of mine is stuck at 60kW.
We don't know if the Mach-E will be the same, but likely not.
It’s only cheaper if LIDAR mapping remains relevant. In the next decade, cars might have new sensors and V2V communication to make it irrelevant.
If we’re going by Gm subscription model, it’s 13 years for $3k. I don’t know if I’d prefer a 3k flat charge or not.
