    From 2022 Kuga 190st lx awd to a 2024 Mach e select

I had a 2020 Escape Hybrid which is almost identical. The Mach E feels roomier and has far better build quality. The handling is also very different, but in a good way.

    Cybertruck in the wild

Iā€™ve started seeing more and more around Austin these past couple weeks. One guy was even shooting a video of his at a super charger in a Target Parking lot. šŸ™„ They make my eyes bleed. But hey, to each their ownā€¦

    Automatic Front Headlight problem

Are you talking about the High Beams? I turned them off on day one because Iā€™ve never been in a vehicle that they work properly in. Plus, I guess Iā€™m a control freak and want to turn the brights on when I choose. I did see another thread about this recently on here and other people were saying...

115kW DC charge on window sticker - 2023 RWD Prem ext battery?

I canā€™t really give you an answer, however, I can verify Iā€™ve seen the same 115 charge rate on the window sticker of other 2023 ER Mach Es I was looking at while mine was in the shop over the summer. So either itā€™s a massive mistake, or they lowered the charge rate in 2023 (which is what I think...

Heated Steering Wheel Goes Cold FAST

Mine does the same thing and my previous Ford Escape did the same thing. I just assumed thatā€™s the way the designed it (like it or not). Maybe we can get an OTA Update some year down the road. šŸ˜†

You opinion on TX Senate Bill 505

Agreed. I donā€™t mind paying my share for roads, but it should at least be fair. Not a one fee for all. Especially since the $200 is higher than the average ice vehicle and what they pay. Itā€™s also, in my opinion, a pro-oil political move by the law makers. Plus, Texas had a substantial excess of...

You hit what?..... (an ongoing insurance saga)

I hit a Peacock at 80mph between Austin and Houston. It was dark and it came out of nowhere. My insurance agent has been in the business over 40 years and had never heard of a Peacock collision. šŸ˜†

    Motor Issue

I have not had a motor issue, thankfully. Though I had my car in the shop twice for extended periods and dealt with the rental process. I see two people here have said they will only reimburse a ford rental. However, I had a Corolla, Polestar 2, and a Chevy Traverse as rentals and was reimbursed...

    Speaker Problem

This happened to me about a month ago as soon as I started my car. I was on SiriusXM and it would not play any sound no matter the station. Luckily, CarPlay still worked so I listened to it. When I got to my next stop and let the car sit for a while, it was fine when I turned it back on. I...

"But, I couldn't get it to charge"

There is a broken (for over 6 months now) EVgo station at the mall I frequent. Even though itā€™s not working, I canā€™t mentally make myself park there. I just go about 10-15 spaces further down and park every time. I do fully believe that the folks who plan where to build these things should...

Minnesota - Magic Docks now appearing

Iā€™m a little mad at Tesla. I live like 5 miles from their HQ in Austin and there are NONE of these around here yet. šŸ™„

Ford's CEO had a charging 'reality check' on his electric F-150 Lightning road trip

@Ford Motor Company and Farley could have already known all this if they had asked someone like me, who canā€™t charge at home, uses their car for work, and lives off the public charging network. šŸ¤” and before anyone wants to shame me for my dumbassness, I knew charging would be a pain but I...

Weird issue with Ford dealership and Mach E battery

This sounds like all kinds of shady. Get out while you can and Iā€™d stay away from that dealer.

    Friday charging experiance

Reading stories like this about charging in CA stress me out. Iā€™m fortunate that, while there are a lot of EVs around my city, itā€™s nothing compared to most of CA. The only full chargers I experience around here are those Cruise driverless taxis if I charge esrky near downtown.

    HVAC Issues

Got my car back today! Nearly 2 months of it being in the shop. Iā€™ve posted some updates above of anyone is interested. I hope none of you end up with this same issue.

    Flat tire question

Iā€™m sure you can have anyone tow as long as they use a flatbed tow truck. I let ford send someone when I had mine done but it was all covered under road side assistance. And I had a tire plan luckily. I canā€™t answer the second part of your question though. Iā€™m just assume we donā€™t have the...

    Polestar 2 Rental

My Mach E is still in the shop for repairs. One of the three rental cars Iā€™ve had over the last 2 months was a Polestar from Hertz so I can give you my personal opinion. Pros: I like the way it looks and drives (though the ride is rougher than a Mach E). Has a big trunk area for stuff, but the...

    New Mach-Es Avaliable

At the end of Q2, my dealer had up $12k in discounts on certain new models they had in stock (mostly GTs). Wish I couldā€™ve picked up a new one.
