Do you use a VPN on your phone by chance? You would think that wouldn't make a difference, but there was an old post here about wired or wireless CarPlay issues and someone posted a Apple support KB article that said VPNs could prevent CarPlay connectivity.

I have this a few times a month. I use Maps daily. It usually resolves itself after a few minutes.

The turn by turn list will appear on the iPhone if you open Maps on the phone while connected to CarPlay.

Good thought on PaaK vs. fob. I always have both unless I forget my fob.

If that happens again, try a Sync reset. I haven't had a problem with the USB ports not charging devices, but when Sync does a reset, the power on those ports will cycle off and on.

I got that this morning. I hit 1 on the drivers door seat memory to make sure my seat is where I want it to be and make sure my driver profile is selected on the center screen. It has to be a bug. It happens a few times a month.
