  1. 2023 Mach-E priced over $55K & delivered in 2023 will not qualify for tax credit! Latest IRS ruling says Mach-E is a CAR - not SUV !

no tax credit and Ford ending financing incentives, I'll certainly pass on mine. Which is set to be delivered around the 16th. You wan't really strange go look at the VW ID.4. It's a car or a suv depending on trip level and drive. Pro RWD, Pro AWD, Pro S RWD are cars, Pro S AWD is a...
  2. Possibly Facing Eviction; Advice Needed

I think enough people have piled on already. But a few points to consider. Submeters are expensive. They have to be installed by a licensed electrician. The process of submetering, and how you can bill for electricity use is regulated in most states. Many apartment complexes are owned by...
  3. How do you calculate Battery Degradation?

It just means your car thinks it's 100% charged (or very close to it). Batteries are not like gas tanks, full doesn't mean it has 88kw of energy stored. Full is based off a peak cell voltage and does not directly relate to battery health. I worn battery can still reach peak voltage without...
  4. How do you calculate Battery Degradation?

The simple answer is you can't. You can use a scanner and read the value from car which would the most accurate as that's what the car thinks it's battery health is. Getting the true state of battery would be near impossible without having very expensive equipment and access direct to the HV...
  5. Heating system in Mustang Mach-E ?

I couldn't find the CR article to get the specifics behind their tests. Their results are curious. What was "cold" and how did they range test. Given they are an US magazine I'll assume the ID.4 was a US market one, which means the only model in that list with a heat pump is the Tesla Model...
  6. DCFC melted / welded to Mach-E charge port during charging session (updated with photos) 😱

A whole lot has to go wrong for that to happen, the CCS standard has a lot of failure safes built into it, which is why posts like this is rare. I would agree with others that something was likely some mud or something else conductive. I'm surprised the charger didn't stop though, the car...
  7. 11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

Cram it with walnuts, ugly. Is a line from The Simpson
  8. 11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

How do you get the chat to tell you? All I got was the same crap they told me in the email, sorry for the dealy...supply chain...keep your pants on....you'll get when you get it so cram it with walnuts. (i may have added that last part).
  9. Heating system in Mustang Mach-E ?

The OP is Canadian, only the Canadian ID.4 has the heat pump. The US ID.4, which my wife has, does not have a heat pump. Interestingly form the highly scientific Youtuber tests on the ID.4 it doesn't make much of any difference.
  10. 11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

Just got an email from Ford at 2:55PM We understand it has been too long since you last heard from us. Just wanted to give you an update on the status of your Mustang Mach-E Premium order. While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of November 7, 2022, supply chain...
  11. 11/7/22 Build Week Thread for 2023 MME's

I have not see any emails, notices, or changes on the website either. I was a 10/31 build week moved to 11/7. Nothing more since then. Premium RWD XR Rapid Red, Nite Pony.
  12. Battery Life and warranty

Battery warranty is 8/100,000 which is rated at 70% of capacity. As to your specifics you don't say what model year you have, how many miles you have, and your charging habits. Unless you've particularly abused your battery, only charging on DCFC to 100%, drive very hard, run the battery down...
  13. "HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY WARNING" - should I be worried

Sadly not weird or uncommon anymore. Pretty normal restriction on loaners now.
  14. I need help deciding which Mustang Mach e version to get!

Yes, The GTPE version still has the modes of the other models and the traction control of the other models. Just don't put it in Unbridled mode in a snow storm.
  15. Hydroplane/RWD

Honestly sounds like you had something more wrong with the car. That is not normal behavior for any car, even if you were daily driving in Unbridled mode. Did you ever have the dealer check it out before this happened? One of the slickest times on a road is just after it start to rain or...
  16. Hydroplane/RWD

How fast were you driving? How hard was it raining? How much water was standing on the roadway? What was the road like? (straight, turning, banked..) This might be an issue of mixing terms. Hydroplaning is the car rising up on a layer of water, this only occurs when more water is going...
  17. Bad Dealer Experience, Purchased out of Spite.

Now you're arguing why dealers won't go away. Large conglomerates hold even more sway in preventing the laws changing. They are not going to lobby to put themselves out of business. Exact reason Tesla couldn't event get a bill to come up for a vote in Texas
  18. Bad Dealer Experience, Purchased out of Spite.

Don't disagree but they say all politics is local and in individual state districts the dealers are the big boys to those politicians.
