Ford is out of its mind. Some market researcher is going to get fired for this looney idea.
Hopefully, they’ll return the price to something reasonable like $200/yr when literally no one pays for BC.
Your dealer should be able to accept a wire or an ACH. That’s the way to pay cash and not carry it. Just make double and triple sure you have the correct wire instructions.
Also curious as I regularly have to drive between Portland and Salem areas in all different weather and do lots of hills. Don’t want to get studded tires, and mainly interested between tire socks and winter/snow tires. Even willing to buy a set of snow tires on different rims and get a home jack...
I paid a small ADM a few days ago on a 22 Premium AWD ER, but it wasn’t anywhere near $7500 or $10k. Some dealers around me have been posting 22s with $2k ADM, but none are posting at MRSP.
Try to negotiate with those dealers. It’s end of year and they want those 22s off their lot for the 23s...
I can’t agree with this more. My work schedule varies by the day/week. Give me the ability to send a precondition command based on an automation that pulls from my iCloud calendar.
I officially jumped ship from my 2023 order and snagged a new 2022 off the lot in a neighboring state today (probably one of the last 2022s produced). Same color/trim/etc of my order, yes with a (small) ADM. I only had to fly a state away and drive her home through the snow and ice. I got even...
Well, I official jumped ship from my 2023 Oregon order and snagged a new 2022 off the lot in Washington (yes for a reasonable ADM…and probably one of the last 2022s produced). Itsexactly the color/trim/etc that I ordered and locked in federal and state tax credits. Overall I was very pleased...
Yeah, I specifically didn't order from them because they told me they were going to add ADM to my order. I told them to go get stuffed. They are so sleazy.
Premium AWD ER for me. We live in the PNW and it can get cold in the winter regionally (20s-40s F for a few months). Daily commute is ~70 miles, but we sometimes take extended regional and longer trips and wanted the flexibility of the ER battery.
Oregon here. Main fuse box is inside the house, so we had to run a 100 amp line to the garage (about 20 ft through an outside breezeway) for a new subpanel with a 50 amp circuit with hardwire installation of charger. The electrician routed wires through the garage attic space and did a really...
Got an update from FC that I shipped out of Argentine on December 10 via BNSF railcar #BNSF314646 still with an ETA to Portland, OR of 12/28-1/3...I think it's going to be really close...
Not to add to the rail/convoy confusion, but I asked FC for an update today. Though my window sticker says RA42 and Rail, FC now says it's in transit via convoy (Jack Cooper Transport) #1362846284.
Is there any way of tracking it through Jack Cooper?
Maybe Ford is trying to rush us Christmas...
I did and it was activated. Unfortunately it hasn’t updated the location since 11/23 on the ramp at the factory. Maybe that’s because it hasn’t left, and maybe because it’s on a covered train and can’t see a GPS satellite? Maybe I should hit the horn button and alert someone…
Build week was 11/7. I was "in production" on 11/14 (which was the day I got a tear tag), and just today changed to "built". Hoping "shipped" comes a little quicker.
