I am in LA and my special off peak rate is 0.16 per kWh after 9pm.
but that is a great rate. I get close to that with EVgo with Lyft Platinum discounts. But would love a second option. Once my adapter gets here I’ll sign up. Can write off the membership fee lol
I didn't know you can become a "Tesla Member". I will need to look into that. I am always looking for a cheaper charging spot while I am out driving Lyft.
I live in SoCal (LA) and I will prob use the Tesla adapter when on road trips. In town it’s cheaper to use EVgo and EA since I drive Lyft part time and have a discount on both and EVCS because I am Platinum level.
Someone on here posted that Tesla charges almost double when using their chargers.
I noticed after my last update my range dropped too. But it is slowly coming back to the level I expected. Give it some time and perhaps weather is affecting it.
On a related note.... I think the car wants you to charge 10-15 min at a time because it seems like it is simulating a stop for Gas. That is how long you would stop to use the bathroom if you had a ICE car.
Don't know if it is true but that is an observation I had.

I have been to Vegas from LA many times. Yes the charging situation is freaking horrible but I have learned that there are some reliable ones and not so reliable. The chargers near a Target seem to be best bets. Also the one by Walmart on the West end of vegas near the airport is also a good...
I work as a Finance Manager at a Chevy dealership. Chevy had a form you provided to a customer upon purchase of a Bolt that told them they qualified and had all the info needed.
Starting in Jan 2024 we had to report to the IRS all those vins and customers who bought last year.
Most dealers...
Could be a car the owner or one of their family members drove to about 5k miles but factory counts as new as it was never registered. Or sometimes they are event vehicles (think auto show display) that once they are done with it a dealer can sell it.
I knew a dealer that hid a Raptor R for a...
I use this feature all the time. Dont have very many situations where I need to use it, but when I do I use it.
Where I think there was an issue is people just don't trust it. I actually like how it will wiggle you out of a parallel parking spot when it is very tight because some asshat...
It will last for a long while. Tesla does this at some of their stations on the highway. They have bathrooms, snack machines, etc up and down the 5 Freeway.
I assume we are tracked at all times or that data can be accessed at any time so it is what it is. Any new car, EV or not, that is connected will have location data that the cellular providers can be forced to turn over.
privacy is slowly eroding. I just work hard on staying clean and being...
I am with you on this. I have an EV Silverado on order…. But they announced the EV Escalade which means the EV Tahoe can’t be far behind. If they announce an EV Expedition or EV Tahoe, I’ll cancel my order and wait for that. My EV Silverado isn’t slated to be here until mid to late 2026 so I...
