You have more patience that I do. My first Mach E was in the shop twice, and each time I had a file opened with the BEV. During the long, second stay at the shop, I asked Ford to buy back the car. They did, and offered a nice buyback.
A buy back is through Ford, not the lemon law of your state.
What is the build date for your car, being one of the last with the old battery?
I had one of the first Mach E's off the assembly line, and after two years, and lots of time at the dealers, Ford bought it back. Now I have one built...
My car was recently bought back by Ford. It was one of the first off the assembly line, in December, 2020.
Within two months it spent four weeks in the shop for computer problems. Recently it was in for over five weeks for the battery junction issue.
I decided it wasn't worth waiting for...
I have a new Mach E (thank you Ford buy back). It is in the app, and all the current stats show up for it.
When I charge at home, the app puts "home" in the history, and I enter my settings. Then I go to "work" and charge. The "home" info - everything, no history of it at all - is gone, and...
I have my car! And I have Ford buyback papers filled out!
The car has new battery packs, although the service guy couldn't tell me how many the car has, to know what percent were replaced. And another recall - for the air/heater system.
Right now I am happy to have Mr. Ed back.
I just received a call that the car is repaired, and they are charging it.
This was Marin County Ford, Novato, CA.
I am going to be optimistic, and say that all will be fine with the car.
My early build Mach E has been in the shop since February 17, for the HVBJB problem.
Yes, I have a case with Ford, and yesterday I started the buy back process.
I have little faith in the service department. They hardly call, and always have some reason progress isn’t happening.
Here’s my...

A Tesla owner experienced an unsettling issue using the company's app to unlock and drive his white...
Two years, one week, and 13,336 miles, my Mach E gave in to this dreaded issue. I started the car in a parking lot, and the warnings immediately began flashing. Coincidently I was within 4 miles of the dealership, instead of being 15 miles away at home. However, the poor car did not want to...
Of course I just had to go check Mr. Ed, which was last serviced September 28, 2022 (10,000 mile service).
It worked! Although it sounded like the car was taking its last, labored breath as the frunk was opening.
(Job 1, delivered 2/12/21...almost my second anniversary!)
(Some of you probably knew this, but some may not)
When I read that the 150,000th Mach E had come off the assembly line, I wondered what number my early build, December, 2020, car is. I was so sure it would be somewhere below 1000. So, I "@Ford"ed, and got a fairly quick answer. The last...
I've tried to change mine to orange dozens of times, using the ambient light buttons, and following the instructions. My car defaults back to blue. I am in the SF Bay Area, and want Giants orange, not Dodger blue.
This dealership is in the SF Bay Area. They have claimed for months that not one windshield shop in Marin will work with them. I am supposed to be getting a call back from another dealer, in Sonoma County, but it seems they've lost my number. I'm working on the "if it ain't broke, don't fix...
I don't know what order they did the updates in, but I wish you'd been there. Today they said they're working with Ford engineers, and they'll call me back. I am standing by.
I had Mr. Ed at the dealer today for routine maintenance, and some updates (which, of course, they have an error code they can't get rid of for the frunk, but I took the car home because I need it tomorrow). Any way, they said an update was received from Ford last Friday, from SSSE (?), saying...
Marin County Ford will not do the windshield update. They say that not one windshield company in Marin will work with them. They flat out tell you to go somewhere else (which I suppose is good if they don't truly don't want to do it).
I specifically asked the advisor on the phone what I should do. She thought about it, and said I could go somewhere else. It seemed like I was the first to even inquire.
