appreciate the reply but I think there might be misunderstanding? I am referring the California rebate program (CVRP). Without having the (2023) VIN number in their list/system we are unable to even get an application submitted…
Thanks! I don’t know a Model 3 is almost guarantee for full tax credit. Is it right? That’s actually one of my other options, getting a model 3 now and wait a few more years to get a better upgraded MME to replace my 2nd ICE.
I don’t think anyone knows for sure… NA assembly is the easy part but the battery content/assembly is tricky. I guess we won’t know until people start to claim 2023 tax return in early 2024? Or will the VIN number tell you when you receive the delivery?
Also not sure if the new proposal from...
When you say “all other cars” you mean the ones assembled in North America only? Most foreign cars will no longer be eligible including Frisker Ocean which is a California brand but assembled in Austria.
I guess Tesla already increased their price in the past year which people are used to now...
I was just at the Orange County Auto Show and I was able to sit in MME, Ioniq, EV6, and bunch of others from more expensive brands. If there is one near you you should definitely try!
That’s the pain.. if there were no comparison I would just go ahead and buy the MME. Paying extra $6000 with no upgrade is hard to swallow…
I just hope the stock market will bounce back next year so I can sell some stocks to pay for the car instead of having to use a loan. :)
Thanks. That’s totally true but with tax credit the MME would still be under $50k. I would say the closest competitor is the Blazer EV. I heard ID4 is a solid EV but not quite as comparable to MME.
Right but not sure how to avoid that now unless I pay markup and buy one right away.. I am hoping while I am waiting for the delivery in early 2023 there will be more clarify which cars truly quality for the full $7500.
This is super helpful, Thank you! Yes we love our Prius, all the technologies it carries made it feel like a “Tesla in the 2000’s”. Now it’s 2022 and EV is the new generation, I’m sure I will be as excited as I was when I first got the Prius.
I was debating with myself between a MME and Ioniq 5...
It’s time to replace my 12 yr old Prius and I’m going EV. Also working on getting solar installed due to electricity price hikes.
Thanks for everyone’s input. Totally understand and agree with the longer you wait the more you may have to pay idea. I think I will just wait a few more weeks until...
