Ellie is in the shop right now having this done and getting new front half shafts at the same time. I cannot thank @SnBGC enough for hooking me up with a great service department. No problems scheduling the service, free loaner - check, would you like a complimentary charge upon return - sure...
I always use 1PD, even ice and snow. I feel more in control without having to switch pedals to modulate speed and traction. Of course the brake pedal is always there if needed, but I find I do not.
Now that we have passed the BC trial expiration, it will be interesting to see what happens with “Connected Navigation”. That starts expiring for many of us “soon”. With so many other options, it will be curious to see Ford’s pricing structure for this.
The language in the “agreement” is more concerning to me. Essentially Ford reserves the right to cancel the service “without obligation” at any time, for any reason, including failing to update the car. If I am willing to pay $600, I should get the three years, regardless of the version active...
Curious if anyone has seen this one. My car last updated to 6.6 last week. Things have been pretty smooth until today when the car refused to connect to my WiFi which it has been doing reliably for weeks. Tried to reconnect - no dice. Tried a reboot of Sync - no dice. Decided to forget and...
Same for our early production 2017. Every cell tested out OK, but still replaced. Cannot beat getting a new HVB after four years and 50K miles. Repair went flawlessly in one day.
It looks like you are on the vehicle dashboard page. You need to choose <Your Nickname>'s Account from the account menu in the upper right corner and then you should see it. At least I do.
I would believe it. I received four updates in 1 week, three of them in 24 hours! And then I posted about my dislike for 6.8. No sign of any further updates in 5 days. My car clearly has no problems loading them. They know my VIN already. Coincidence? Hmmm…
My car has stopped at 6.6. Perhaps they read my post and correlated my identity to my car. No frunk update for me 🤣.
Good thing I will not miss what I never had. I have opened the frunk three times in as many years. Two because people asked. One for takeout.
A LVB SOC would certainly be a welcome addition since it was woefully under engineered to save weight!! But I guess that is expected to remain hidden behind failed OTA’s with no explanation.
Ok. I will take your bait…
Defensive driving includes scanning the road and the instrument panel. A driver needs to know their speed and monitor the car for messages that include the car’s performance and alert them to problems and warnings. If I am expected to only watch the road, why have...
