This is over the top BUT remember the charger is not just charging the battery it is also feeding the battery Heater and cabin - up to about 6kW. You can see with CarScanner and it makes a difference especially when charge rate is slow… say 40kW and so only 34kW is charging the battery …...

I had the 2023 Leaf too. Loved the car - Apart from the limited range - Zero issues after 5 years 110k miles and 100% charge every day…had about 85% battery capacity… Level 2 at work and Level 2 at home…the car convinced me EVs would put dealer service out of business. My Mach-e not so much…...

Totally miss the stick most about going electric ..... since I went electric 10 years ago, had to buy a convertible stick to compensate.

I am in Toronto - Have the same problem due to the amazingly dumb design. Easy to get snow/ice into the latch mechanism and FREEZE CLOSED (used hair dryer for 30 sec since I was at home). Whenever I charge when it could snow/freezing rain, I now pop the hood and drape a towel over the charge...

At this point I’m usually just relieved they connect and work - the IVY ones are often 3 out of 4 not working and then slow… Ahh looking forward to the Tesla network access…fast and reliable
