I don't have the time to break down the energy cost comparison between our electricity costs with our Polestar 2 and what we paid in gas with our BMW X1. But the X1 used 91 octane and got about 23mpg at an average of $4+ per gallon, and the P2 got 100% free charging for about 20k miles using the...
Lol this is one of the dumbest, most intentionally disingenuous "studies" funded by the petroleum industry or their ilk, and there have been many.
In CA the DCFC rate at EA is $.31 plus $4 per month. That's literally the highest rate the study should be including for anyone in CA in this...
I swear San Ramon has more Teslas per Capita than anywhere I've seen. Every time I go to that Fieldwork brewery off of Bollinger there's at least 40-50 between the parking garage and the Target superchargers. It's insane.
The Blazer looks more like an ID4 than a Mach E to me, but it's a great addition to the EV market sand will sell a ton. Need to get more charging stations built ASAP lol
Just did SF to South Lake yesterday as well. Used 75% of the battery and charged at the 350kwh EAv station right when we got into town. We're a 2 Mach E family so no real choice but to keep driving. Must've seen a dozen other Mach Es on the way up too.
Walnut Creek is the top selling Mach E and lightning dealer in the country. It's the combo of being in the region with the highest EV adoption in the country and being one of only 2 dealers that don't charge ADM. I've bought 2 Mach Es from them and have had great experiences there.
Did you get the better charging curve and expanded capacity update? Since I do all of the charging for my wife (all public since we street park), I really only care about the damn charge rate improving above 80% lolol
What build date is your GT? I was just at the Ford dealer to buy my 2022 Route 1, and I walked over to the service area to ask what updates were available for my wife's GT. I was told there was only the recall update available 🤷♂️.
It's a September 21 build.
Did you have to pay mark-up? I need to replace my Polestar 2 with an SUV/crossover since we have a baby on the way, and I'm looking for something with a smoother ride than my wife's Mach E GT (which we love, but it's definitely bouncy). The Hyundai group EVs definitely have the smoother ride...
Does anyone know if there is a place on the forum to find pre-price increase pricing and incentives (dude a search and thus was the closest thread to pop up)? I ordered October 19th and was told by my dealer a little while back that it would be protected, but the Ford website is obviously only...
Dang, just met with my dealer today to get an appraisal on my Polestar 2 since my car is in Richmond, CA (the local distribution point). Just was told about this recall ugh. Hopefully the update is ready to go and it doesn't delay delivery to the dealer too much.
Well I see at least a few Mach E's every day now in SF, but it still brings a smile to my face 😁
Since I drive a Polestar (my wife drives our MME GT), I don't wave at other Mach E drivers anymore. But when my Mach E arrives later this month I will be able to again!
My question is how long did it take for your car to get from the factory to Richmond, since mine is currently en route and they quoted like 7 weeks lol
I have to have referred at least 5 people to Walnut Creek Ford at this point. Bought a Route 1 off the lot in March '21 from them at X-Plan pricing. Then ordered another in October 21 when I was there for my 10k service lol. It finally shipped a week or two ago and the sales manager confirmed...
So, my sister has an Ioniq 5 and one week into owning it the breaks completely went out while she was driving. Easy fix... But the parts were unavailable so they had her in a rental car for over a month while they waited. Got the car back and within two weeks the 12 volt battery died, stranding...
