    Are Grizzle chargers trash now?

Bought one about a year ago and it died within a month. Received a warrantee replacement shortly afterward and it has worked fine since.

    Not charging through J1772 port

Sure, If you download the CarScanner App and buy a compatible USB connector for the diagnostic port you'll have access to all the sensors in your Mach-E. Four of those sensors are for the temperatures of the L1, L2, DC1, and DC2 ports. If one of the sensors are bad you'll see it as...

    Not charging through J1772 port

I had the same issue earlier this year. The charger port temperature sensors were bad, requiring a warantee replayment of the whole on board charger. The service department, as always, defaults to "it's a you problem," until I showed them the data from Car Scanner. Then they sent a field...

    Noisy Steering Wheel

Hey Guys, I've got 78k on my Mach-E. This week the steering wheel started clicking during right turns. It sounds to me like gear teeth tapping. I've never encountered this on any other car and wanted to know if that sounds like an issue that needs to be addressed in the near future. Thanks.

    Battery Swap Question

As battery degradation becomes more of an issue down the line, how realistic do you guys think it would be to swap out the individual packs inside the battery to get back more range? Would it be too expensive to get back 20% or so of range? The amount I drive I anticipate getting to 300k in...

Ford Dealer Asking For EV Input

Hello Eric, I have a Ford dealer 2 miles from my house. I drive to a dealer 45 minutes away for any kind of EV service for these reasons: -The good dealer has more than one EV technician. If I need service at the other dealer I'm always told it has to be on a specific day because they work on...

    Car Randomly Stops Charging

I don't think mine was software related. The engineer confirmed it was a bad temperature sensor, and it has been working just fine since the charge coupler has been replaced.

    My First Tesla Supercharger Experience

Yes, it is on multiple stations. A Tesla can still charge on a station that has a Magic Dock attached to it. If I go up there again this weekend I'll post a video of the process if it hasn't been done before.

    My First Tesla Supercharger Experience

When you open the Tesla app and press the "Charge my Non-Tesla" button it filters all of the locations for you on the map in the application. The engineering is pretty interesting on the Magic Docks. I should have taken a picture, but the CCS has the regular Tesla charge cord attached to it...

    My First Tesla Supercharger Experience

On my way back from Reno today I decided to take the low road through Placerville and try out the Tesla Supercharger for the first time. I had a great experience. The charger handoff was almost instantaneous. I normally use Electrify America chargers and the handoff and charge initiation...

    New GOM Behavior

My Mach-E just got back from the charge coupler replacement last week. All the latest updates were applied, etc., and it has just under 70,000 miles on it. When I charge overnight to my 90% preset, the charge will show 89% or 90% in the morning. The past few days the charge has been showing...

    Tire suggestions

Discount Tire. It was quick and easy. I tried to get them from Firestone but for some reason they aren't able to get any good tires for the Mach-E. I called them for two months and they kept telling me they couldn't order the Hankooks and the ones that they did recommend were always out of stock.

    Tire suggestions

I haven't paid attention to see if I have a bump in range to be honest. Compared to the OEM tires the main thing I notice is a significant reduction in road noise.

    Tire suggestions

I just got the Hankook Ion Evo AS and have put about 1000 miles on them. They are great. I highly recommend them and would get another set after these are done. Noticably much quieter road noise.

    Car Randomly Stops Charging

Final Update... Ford paid for the repair under warantee and replaced the charge connector. No issues and it is currently charging just fine. They even performed the parking break recall and updated all software.

    Car Randomly Stops Charging

Update on my situation... My Mach-E was given to the dealer on Wednesday and was told a field engineer would be handling it. They gave me a loaner car and was told the repair would take two days. Just got word that they are keeping it through the weekend, and I received an email from Ford...

    Car Randomly Stops Charging

I'm finally getting my Mach-E taken care of tomorrow. It required a call to Ford Customer Service and a case number from the BEV Team. I'll have a loaner car for at least two days and will report back when it gets resolved.

New Bridgestone Turanza EV tires (with "Enliten" tech) for Teslas, Mach-E promises better durability

I just got a set of the Hankooks with the interior foam. I'm very impressed. I've put about 1500 miles on them so far. They are noticeably more quieter.
