Politics aside, this confirms to me to just get a Tesla. No company has the same level of deep software and hardware integration, charging network, or reach the level that FSD has.
The MME was a great EV, but the lack of consistent big updates, slow charging speeds and charging curve, and less...
Yes I have, it just seems like i need to replace the 12v battery at this point. Though aside from that, the mach-e i think is the best EV to get into when transitioning from gas.
I will say though the latest software update that came to my mach e keeps failing to install, even after following all the forums advice for keeping the 12v battery at a high charge.
One thing I will say is, the GT is going to give you more excitement, but it won't be as comfortable to drive as the Premium is because of the stiffer suspension setup. But the GT offers an amazing driving experience overall.
The forum's arguing quite a lot over FSD, but the truth is whatever system makes it out first to mass market will be dominating.
Legacy auto brands are too slow to do it themselves, so they rely on 3rd parties. Most of the time, 3rd parties are not big enough or don't have enough fleet...
They recently updated all teslas so they now record with B Pillar cameras, and I have never experienced the poor camera quality that you have. They have some of the best camera hardware in the automotive space.
Tesla just launched a major update to FSD, v14. It now has the ability to avoid road debris, handle unique edge cases, and park in garages, parking lots, etc.
Future revisions of the Mach E should maybe consider getting a license to FSD from Tesla.
I think the Mach-E is a great and solid EV. It has all the fundamentals, and like any other car, it will encounter issues. However, when compared to other EV offerings on the market, it is now starting to lag behind. Hopefully the refresh can sort out a majority of the issues.
On new years eve I finally got delivery of my Tri-Motor Cybertruck, which I will be driving mainly from this point on. However, I will still be holding on to my mach-e. Here is a photo of my metal refrigerator (on the left):
Some initial impressions I have of the car:
1. The software...
I wouldn't say that's the only thing. Compared to the CURRENT mach e, Tesla has software that is lightyears ahead, and the fact that they are now rolling out 500 kW charging to their stations is also quite impressive.
As of right now, yes. They plan to open in the future.
There is a tesla supercharging location in Bothell that works with the adapters if you have one.
