My screen brightness control no longer works since it went in for s/w updates last week and often starts in night mode so I can't read the screen and it won't kick out of it.

Hillarious, no-one is going to pay for it. And it's very unethical to remove features that were free when we took delivery of our cars and make them subscription only. perhaps even illegal.

Depends on your usage patterns etc, I suspect if you use a lot during the day then it's still worth going solar.
