Wonder if they will disable APA in cars that currently have it (they shouldn't, coz it was a promised feature when I bought the MME, even though I have barely used it)
That is so true. The only remotely useful feature-add that I can remember since purchase 2+ years ago was the OTA update that got us new screen icons, including the on-demand front camera view button.
Telsa, and I bet most other EV companies have done much better. Granted the MachE was quite...
Granted it is a value-add (feature) for our cars. Like the NACS connector is.
But still unsure why we feed mediocrity by celebrating such relatively straighforward (and expected) improvements with so much vigor. Ford absolutely needs to step up their game, considering there has been almost...
Glad to see y'all so excited about a battery info feature being integrated in AA. So rad. Makes me wonder if we've seen an invention anything like this in decades, at least since humans first stepped on the Moon.
My forecast still is beginning of summer ... let's see what Ford can do

For those like me with only a superficial understanding of the technical details ...
1) Is it possible (perhaps on a future Comma SW version) to incorporate MachE's inbuilt radar sensor data for Comma-controlled ADAS? Potentially to deliver enhanced ADAS or for redundancy.
2) Can Ford disable...
I have 2021 Job2, did not receive the email.
I am willing to pay up to $1 per 100 BC miles driven on enabled freeway routes, which would not justify a $600/3 year cost for me, if it were offered.
How should we define a GOOD dealer? Just wondering how low we need to set the bar, because a "good" dealer is an exception. Some are just meeting expectations, and most others not even that.
How does BC1.3 give you back "time" like Erik kept mentioning? 🤔
If it disengages above 80mph, it would in fact cost me precious time to stay below 80.
For obvious reasons, EV startups appeal to kids a lot more than the old Detroit hands do. Ford & Chevy are similar in that respect. No shame in that. Now if Ford can bring a cheaper, smaller EV (like the Bolt) to market, then the 30-40 yo's might take notice.
Well, on a busy weekend, at a busy charging stop, chances are you are not the only one taking a road trip. It's bad enough our MachEs don't charge as fast as some others, and I don't want to be waiting an additional 20-30 mins for that one person to get from 88-90%.
Ok, maybe getting the cops involved is a bit over the top. But charging stations can still impose a penalty after 80% SoC if the charge rate slows down (as it does for most EVs, right?), since stations charge by kWh and not time.
The camera feed would still be useful to monitor folks who...
We need regulations or laws around charging "etiquette" baked into the state vehicle code. And cameras at charging stations to catch violaters (or their license plates).
I say they wait until (end of Spring '24) to roll out BC1.4 or 1.5 to allow summer roadtrippers to evaluate it. Will possibly net more subscribers that way. And it's absence until then will only make the heart grow fonder.
That would be a great addition! I often use BC on city streets (not quite hands-free though), and a BC feature that makes the car stop when it reaches a stop sign or stop light with no other car at the intersection ahead, would be awesome to have. A chime to warn you of the impending stop...
