Also, Tom Moloughney, who has the YouTube channel "State of Charge" is a very experienced EV driver who owns a Lightning and a Rivian R-1T. He reviews his (early?) Lightning, and likes it a lot.
I'd recommend checking his videos out for an experienced and balanced opinion.
Not sure how much this helps, but I drove the Lightning for ten minutes at a dealership, and I found it impressive.
Very quiet, handling seemed fine (but I couldn't really push it), and the eye monitor for BlueCruise is now above the steering wheel, so it shouldn't nag if you are drinking or...
Question: do you have battery pre-conditioning in cold weather if you use the ford app for nav? I don't get it using Android Auto, and I'd love a manual button to turn it on when 20 minutes away from a DCFC on a cold day. But I've heard that the ford nav app turns it on. Is that true?

I need to upgrade my bio.
I do have a GT with 15k miles. Traded off the FE at 24k miles for the GT.
And I did see the gray bars today. Not sure what they mean, but they seem persistent at speeds above 80-85 mph. I never noticed them before...
Thanks to everyone for all of the help!
Thanks for the reply. I wish I knew more about the new part...
You lost me with the reference to "grey bars". But the software update seems like the prudent move, I guess.
I haven't read all of this thread. I am a slacker, clearly. ;)
My GT, right now, has OTA updates turned off, but I'm willing to turn them back on, if that is the smart move. The car failed about two weeks ago, and the dealer replaced the contactor with the -B part. So I think, or at least...
