There are charger uptime requirements specified, including how long they have to fix a broken unit. I don't believe there is any enforcement mechanism.
Page 26 of 164 of the third linked document states fines for...
Is there any word from Ford or rating agencies about the rate of HVBJB failures? Seems like some communication from Ford would allay some of the fear/concern. Could be there was, but I haven't been following the HVBJB thread since the issue first broke about a year (?) ago now

@heisnuts
LOL this is too funny. I rented a Model Y on a recent Oregon vacation. I thought that picture looked familiar, and when heisnuts said he got soft serve there I knew that was where I also charged. The soft serve is part of a food truck that, no kidding, serves that and wood fired...
And Ford is also slowing production of EVs apparently. The stories about MachEs accumulating on dealer lots could be related. Ford needs to focus on lowering production costs, so if they are slowing production to do that, maybe it makes sense...
Anyone who got disgusted with their Mach-E because of the HVBJB fiasco and decided to grab an Ionic 5 isn't going to be getting much sleep in the near future:

Munro video states the NACS input port and in car wiring will cost 10-30% less than the CCS implementation. Good video. Also, 0% possibility of Ford having two different charge connectors. CCS is done, stick a fork in it.
Putting the locking mechanism in the vehicle versus charging connector is...
The cost of manufacturing two "inlet ports" on every EV is likely going to be the deciding factor. Ford is losing money on every Mach-E they sell, so getting costs down as they scale production up is Job #1. I can't imagine why they haven't come right out and just said "Only a single NACS inlet...
I was going to LOL about the comment that EV sales are declining, but @SpaceEVDriver posted the chart on page 3 showing the exact opposite, EV sales are skyrocketing.
All the chatter about various DCFC stations that don't work is nothing more than anecdotal evidence, that no conclusion can be...
Ok, I was going to go off on a serious rant before I read through the entire (almost) linked document. It looks like real-time availability of all installed chargers will be made available to third party app providers. So there should be an easy way to track not whether they are compliant with...
The elephant indeed...
The VW Dieselgate consent decree which can be found here, in section 3.8.7 specified $2,000+ per day fines for "failing to maintain or provide for maintenance of installed ZEV charging infrastructure" per paragraph 3.3.2.5. Unfortunately, paragraph 3.3.2.5 just talks...
I think that as soon as the first site or two that has CCS units as part of the installed base opens up this question will be largely answered. It could be that a slightly taller pedestal (V4 Supercharger) containing a longer charging cable combined with a drive through stall could probably...
This picture is from the Arroyo charging plaza in Pasadena, Ca. The DCFC in the background with the Tesla using a CCS adapter has the wording "Power up Pasadena", which is partially covered by a sign directing users how to stop the charging session before disconnecting from the DCFC. These DCFCs...
Saw a couple CNBC headlines relevant to this discussion. The 3,800 job cut in Europe looks to cut costs as part of moving to electrification, which requires fewer employees. And then just now, the halt in production and shipment of the F-150 Lightning due to an "unspecified" battery issue...
@phil I think we can officially put to bed any thoughts of Tesla decreasing production. They just announced an expansion of the Nevada battery plant to add an additional 100GWh of 4680 production, which is enough to build 2 million vehicles annually  I think that's more than how many...
Phil,
You haven't been following the Tesla plan very closely. Scaling to "extreme size" doesn't include cutting production. And with the profit margins they have they could very well be the only EV manufacturer that could do that now as others have pointed out.
It could be you have a better...

Reading through there, it looks like quite a bit of the technical content provided could have been pulled literally verbatim from this discussion forum.

Maybe try a different soundtrack then the Blippi one, that may have jinxed you. Your young children might appreciate something by Nine Inch Nails perhaps? :p
Good luck on the drive!

I think the answer to several of the questions posed up thread will only be answered when Sandy Munro has his hands on an older HVBJB and somehow gets a new (presumably different) one, then tears them down and shows what has changed. Once this "issue" gets enough attention, that is going to...
