on my first mach e, I actually wrote my backup start code on the door code key that came with the car, always carried it in my wallet. PAAK was pretty necessary then, as we originally only got one key fob on the 21s (up until June 21 build). On my 23 I never bothered with setting up PAAK.
I'm trying to figure this out, why is it safer for driving lights to be on when the frunk is open? I'm thinking back on the two dozen ICE cars I've owned over the decades. I can't recall ANY that were front engined where the lights came on or stayed on when I opened the hood or the trunk.
pretty oblivious to the whole mustang "mystique" I was never particularly interested in american muscle cars in general and mustang in particular. But the name "mustang mach e" is cumbersome in any event I always tell people it's a mach e as that's what I view the name as being.
well if you're goals are short term than I guess the gamble didn't pay off. But seeing as EVs are the future and ford is looking out decades, it's hardly reasonable to make the determination that it didn't pay off.
especially bad unfortunately, I ordered the GT, it came in and I picked it up on December 27 23, the next week Ford announced the first of the big cuts to price and it's been steadily downhill ever since, so to save $80 cost me tens of thousands! ;)
you'll lose real time info and also not get updates for roads and such. To avoid paying the $80 I traded my mache at 2.5 yrs for a gt and now I've got another three free years !! :)
this is a great writeup. Just from your writeup I think as everyone surmised, the attention of the 12k or so tesla chargers is a game changer for travel.
Don't think running over it is ever a good idea. Fortunately it's mounted on the same side as the charge port so it's not an issue, the only other vehicle in the garage is my motorcycle. That said, I'm pretty laze and actually leave the cable on the floor with the head laying on my lawn mower...
but max rate for mach e is 150kw so it doesn't matter if you go to a higher kw charger. and the rate depends where you are in the charging curve, 150kw is only at the beginning.
this is a vid inside evs did on the charging curve, this is an older report tho. https://insideevs.com/news/492727/ford-mustang-mache-fast-charging-analysis/
