    High-pitched "Electrical Whine"

I’ll be honest — this is one of the things that scares me the most about vehicles that are more computers than mechanical. Over time and through the many bumps on the road, are the components of EVs designed to sustain those jolts? I suppose one can argue that electrical components are more...

    High-pitched "Electrical Whine"

In that case, definitely looks like a car-specific issue. I’m glad the dealership is responsive and following up. That sucks, brother. But hang in there; I’m sure they will figure something out. This, unfortunately, is the reality of version 1.x software and hardware. This is a new platform for...

    High-pitched "Electrical Whine"

@methorian Do you hear the same whine when you are stationary outside of your garage (or where that video was shot)? I ask because I had the same problem in my 09 MB E350. It went away when I left the garage. Turns out it was LED interference from the many lights in my garage.

The truth about Electrify America's progress and Traveling with the Mach E

Stupid question, and maybe its been asked here before --- why not just add DCFC units at gas stations? Their physical locations already blanket our nation really well. The major gas and oil companies have seen the writing on the wall. If anything, getting in early on the EV movement would only...

Tru's thoughts on the Mach-E from second driving experience

Thank you for sharing your nephew's perspective. I've done extensive drives with a Model S Performance, Model 3 Performance, and Model Y Long Distance. I appreciate his comments comparing with Tesla. 0-60 matters to me. In my drives of the Teslas, I never got tired of the insane acceleration...

    My Mach-E Day 1 Impressions

With your wife's PAAK set up, did the driver's seat automatically adjust to its memory setting when she approached the car?

    My Mach-E Day 1 Impressions

@hybrid2bev Have you tried multiple profiles yet? If so, I'm curious if the vehicle configures settings, seat position memory, etc. depending on which profile is chosen. Even better, when using PAAK, does it intelligently recognize which profile to set depending on with PAAK is present?

My use case is 135 miles, and I'm only going to charge at home.

I second this. The 225s are a joke if performance or aesthetics mean anything to you.

(Solved) Best alternative for Ford's charger and possible rebates..

Just to confirm, for the Federal tax credit, is everyone who has already purchased using IRS 8911 to get their credit? Or, is there another Federal program that has incentives for the residential purchase of a charging station? https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8911

First Forum Member receives his Mach-E X!

Excellent sleuthing and comparisons, @Pig Iron! The difference in how both vehicles look is really apparent when you compare the rear. The Mach E has a lot more "class" with the curves. The X looks like they took a slab of ice and carved straight down. TY for sharing these!

What would make you cancel your Mach-E reservation and buy something else?

On the OP's topic, here's a list of reasons I'd cancel my order: Federal credit disappears (next to impossible for 2021) Screen feels too laggy during my test drive. I get that s/w updates can optimize, but I'm the type who makes a buy decision based on what I am seeing. Everything in the...

I just received my Mach-E First Edition (in California)!

I just called my dealer and they confirmed that they offer the same rates that @machefan is showing. I confirmed the numbers at the Tier 0-2 row. Interestingly, my dealer isn't offering X-Plan discounts. They said they aren't sure if the dealership even gets a kick-back. Not sure...

I just received my Mach-E First Edition (in California)!

Screenshot from the dealer's website with the typo. I'll take one for the team and make them a deal. I'll sell my Premium AWD/ER to them for $99,000. That's 38% off!

    GT Options?

I suspect Ford has some tricks up its sleeve with future software updates, much like Tesla has done to incrementally improve efficiency with updates. If we've learned anything through Ford's MME experiment, it's that Ford has thoroughly researched Tesla and tried to replicate its successes and...

    Another Mach-E delivery in Texas!

It’s a Marketing play. We know that one of Ford’s big concerns is legacy Mustang owners skeptical of accepting the MME under the “Mustang” brand. What better optics can you get than having someone who owns collector Mustangs show excitement to get her new MME?

    GT Options?

If Ford fails to release more details by the time my Premium arrives, I’m sticking with the Premium. The glass roof is a must for my family as it changes the experience of owning and riding in this vehicle.
