All,
It's been a hot minute since the last time I've posted here.
I noticed this thread and wondered, could we crowdsource a list of Ford Model E Certified and Elite dealers AND also track the rollout of the new FordCharge DC chargers they need to install?
I found my first working one in my...
They are in the DCFC business... It's called FordCharge.
I charged my Tesla Model Y using a CCS Adapter at Ruxer Ford in Jasper Indiana on December 14th. They have the new FordCharge DC Fast chargers installed and free to use (temporarily).
The chargers are made by Power Electronics...
For those who were concerned about reading about what Jim said and paywalls, you can watch the entire interview for free, just a prompt for name, email address, the normal stuff for investor things.
It's worth a watch. As a Tesla owner (and stock holder $TSLA), I have a lot of respect for Jim...
I was wondering why that didn't make the poll list!
Seriously, I would have also thought the choices should include:
Ride quality
Charging Choices
Interior
I've talked with Mach-E owners and heard those as reasons they picked the Mach-E.
I think the Mach-E is a very good EV. Do you need to encourage "annoying" us Model Y owners to make it feel like a better choice?
We'll need all manufacturers to be successful to transition the world to sustainable transportation and energy.
Enjoy your car, you've made the best choice for you...
I hope EA sticks to their buildout plan. They should now be in Cycle 3 (https://www.electrifyamerica.com/our-plan/). It's fixing to get very busy for EA and Tesla.
Tesla is continuing to build out our network quickly. Over 2,000 more stalls just in the US in 2021, 8,221 more world wide. Total...
Just finished a 1,700+ mile road trip to Austin TX and back. Never waited once.
I can count on one hand the number of times I've waited at a Supercharger since 2018.
Yes, it happens, yet Tesla just added over 2,000 more stalls in the US just last year, a total of 8,221 more were added world...
@OrchidMania Maybe change the graphic for this thread to eliminate the confusion.
Maybe a picture of a Tesla Wall Connector instead (used also for Destination Chargers)?
This is great news and demonstrates once and for all that Ford can do FOTA (Firmware Over The Air).
I know I was one who was sometimes skeptical, glad to be proven wrong and convincingly.
It's rare air to be able to do this in the Automotive industry. Plenty of others still trying.
Yes, we get a J1772 with our car, that's right.
You'll also notice what I said before the quote you highlighted:
" I only use the J1772 equipped chargers when there are either no Tesla specific chargers or they're all taken. "
My point was I'm trying to keep the J1772 chargers open for others...
From personal experience, it's part of what we do as Tesla owners... know the configuration of OUR car.
I know, not for everyone.
And Tesla has copied Ford too...
Tesla Vertical Integration is what is allowing them to scale as much as they can with crazy supply chain issues, and that is a...
Part of the electricity I pay for comes from Ameren Missouri Solar farms.
Granted, those electrons just contribute to the overall grid... yet
