I'm concerned with Fords decision-making going forward regarding EVs. It seems pretty apparent to me that instead of moving forward with innovation in the EV market they'd prefer to espouse protectionist policies against Chinese manufacturers (Mostly making EVs) so that they don't have to...
I bought a "refurbished" one from them around this price and it's been stellar for 2+ years now. I think there were a few minor defects on the side of it, but nothing that affected its performance. I'd happily buy one of these again as they seem extremely well built.
This seems nice, but not necessary.
That being said, I'm currently scouting out our next vehicle to replace my wifes old edge and I would really like to go EV for both our vehicles. I really want a mid size SUV (About the same size as the edge) that has an 800V architecture and a solid 300+...
The wish-washy american public will be back to begging for EVs and fuel efficient vehicles in no time with this administration waging more wars in the middle east causing fuel pricing to spike.
I should have followed up with my issue. I’m fairly certain that I had pinched the USB cable and it took about a year for the cable to fail. I replaced the cable with a little more sturdier one and hopefully reinstalled the plastic piece a little more carefully and haven’t had a problem since...
I typically plan on keeping cars anywhere from 10-15 years.
I wouldn't have bought this car if I didn't think that was possible. I absolutely expect some range degradation in the later years, but not enough that it affected my decision to purchase my Mach E
Yeah, I replaced the battery on it last year and it was doing good until iOS 26 when everything went into the tank. I really wish Apple would test their shit with older hardware before pushing it out, cause I would have been just fine staying on iOS 18 with just security updates until it's EoL...
honestly the phone being old might be it. I went through earlier and noticed I had a ton of apps that were refreshing in the background that, frankly, had no business doing so. I set a bunch of them not to not update and also changed the setting to allow the apps to update on WiFi and on...
Im not on a beta version either but if you look into it iOS may close apps to help save resources so for whatever reason it may be deciding that the Ford app should be closed to save resources whether it be RAM or battery or whatever.
iphones don't have an option like androids to force an app...
Not true in the least bit. Go ahead and go into your Ford app and swipe up on it twice to close it and you'll get a notification that says Paak works best with the app open.
Im running an iphone 12 on the latest stable version of iOS 26 and using V6.0 of the Ford app.
seems like after an hour of so, whenever I open the ford app it's opening from a closed state (IE the ford logo shows up as it loads into the app) instead of just pulling up the app from an already...
PaaK is sketchy at best. iOS constantly closes the Ford app on me which means every time i go out to my car I need to pull my phone out of my pocket and open up the app for PaaK to work.
It's far from the solution it should be.
