For me its the fact that dealers do not know how to work on them. I sold it with 14k miles after the dealer had it for a month for simple fixes. I frankly just gave up as it can be the greatest car in the world but if you cant drive it then its all for not....
So yes I have elevated and frankly no one seems to care.
On the lemon law. If I am reading it correctly 30 days in the shop for an issue in the first year qualifies.
Its just beyond me how the service can be so horrible! I fully expect they will not even look at the front end and call it...
So back a few weeks ago I experienced the 12V LVB "bug" on my first edition so I came home to a dead car sitting at the airport. Schedule to drop the car off at a dealership in the Colorado Springs area on January 3rd. Asked them to perform the following checks/fixes:
LVB TSB
Front Windshield...
Picked up the car which jumped fine and drove home without issue. But now a new issue. When i shut the car off, walk out and hit the lock button on the remote the screen stays on and the music keeps playing.
Any ideas on this? I cant get the damn thing to shut off.
So grabbed a battery that turns over a f350. Will connect it to the terminals. Wait 5 min and turn the mme on. Not turning an engine over rather just turning on some electronics. If not well we will go from there.
Well just grabbed a spare battery at the house and some cables. To go jump it at the airport. I guess I will go ahead and drill access holes in the panel so I can hook up a trickle charger until I can get the TSB applied. Last time it took over a month to get into any dealer in the C-Springs /...
Well just to provide an update. Tow never came even though he called me and said he was in route when I still at the airport. Ford would text me every few hours asking if he ever came -- Always responded with No -- I would get an update every few hours that he was "30 minutes out" -- Last one...
Ya. So being at the airport arriving home I dont have the tools to be popping panels and such to get to the battery connections. They can tow and fix it themselves and apply the update they should of done when it was in last time. If they dont fit i will run up and do it tomorrow.
And the car is a brick. Its going to be a long day.. Tow driver does not know if they can get a flatbed in the parking garage.
Fords isssue at this point.
Was kind of pisses me off the most is it was in about a month ago getting the PAAK UPDATE. Guess no one thought to apply the 12v batter tsb.
Thanks for the responses and makes me feel better. Was only a day before it was in deep sleep mode. Will find out tomorrow and hopefully I am not calling in a tow. Thanks again.
Dropped my car off at the airport on Monday where it is plugged into a level 1 charger. Weather is not very cold (30s) yet the car is in deep sleep mode. I have never had this happen before to include last winter in sub-zero temps. It is a first edition and an early build so worried I am coming...
I bet you have the phone setup as a paak (phone as a key)?? Mine does the same with paak on as it sucks and breaks everything regardless or bluetooth or a cord....
So FORD awesome job. Spend 60k on a car and bluetooth does not work with the only option for a second key. How about you either fix this or offer a second key?? Seems like a reasonable ask to me......
I am convinced its the damn phone as a key as i had zero issues on my connection until i turned that on. I need to get a second key so i can delete it and give it a shot. Too gun shy to delete it until i have a backup key.
