  1. Mach-E March 2024 & Q1 Results: 77% Increase YTD / 438% Increase YoY for March

Same here, not long ago I was lucky if I saw one other Mach-e per week, now I seem to see two or three others daily. To be fair though, I have been driving a little more recently.
  2. Questions from a beginner

My 22 Select came with the Ford charger but I have never used it. I had a 16amp charger that I used with my Prius Plug-in and I have just kept using that. It is capable of using a 220V outlet (L2) but I use it at L1 and keep the Ford charger in the car as a back-up. Right now I drive about 30...
  3. 24-PU0102-SVD-FX2

I got part 1 of 24-PU0102-SVD-FX2 on March 5. This morning I should have received part 2 but it failed. The message stated that one of the conditions were not met but it didn't say which condition. My worry is that it was a low Aux battery as there was nothing else that would have prevented...
  4. Love my MachE and now a rant

I don't worry too much about the price drop in the used car market as I don't drive that much and tend to keep my cars for a long time. We did take the Mach-e on a couple of road trips but my wife doesn't like to do the charging stops and so lately we have been taking her ICE car when we...
  5. Ford: When to expect your Tesla P&C OTA [Munro Live: Using the Ford Fast Charging Adapter]

I just wish that Ford with give more details on what the update actually does. Last week I got an update with the usual message that this update will improve the installation of updates. On Tuesday morning I got another update 24-PU0102-CHG-SUFX. This update appears to be part 1 of 3. I was...
  6. FAQ & Tips -- Mach-E Access to Tesla Superchargers; NACS Adapter

After I completed the order process I got an email that contains the order number and a link to allows me to track the order.
  7. FAQ & Tips -- Mach-E Access to Tesla Superchargers; NACS Adapter

My order number is 11,593 and according to the link to track the adapter it should ship sometime in June. I'm fine with that and applaud Ford for making these available free of charge.
  8. Range problems with the long range Mach e in the UK

I always recommend that people use the US EPA mileage estimates as, while still a little optimistic, are much closer to reality than almost any other range estimate. For example for the OP's car the EPA range is 310 miles, 50 miles less than the WLTP range. Add to that the range loss due to...
  9. Dirty Looks / Rubbernecking

So far I haven't had any negative reactions but plenty of positive ones. I even spoke to a lady at the car wash who was driving a mustang convertible and she asked a lot of questions about the car and thought she might go with a Mach-e when it came time to trade in her Mustang. People really...
  10. My 25 years of driving EV's

Many of the people who started leasing cars like the EV1 and Honda EV+ have driven EVs ever since. I got interested in EVs after reading an article about Ed Begley Jr. who started driving EVs with a Conversion even before the EV1 became available in 1997. The article missed a couple of...
  11. Hey Ford, you are useless (at solving the lack of DC charging)

My local dealership, Galpin Ford, actually has quite a nice restaurant on site. My wife and I like to eat there while waiting for our car to be serviced. Last time I was there they only had L2 chargers but Galpin have a Polestar dealership across the street that has 4 DCFC chargers and they...
  12. Brake / Rotors factory warranty

If an EV is needing new brake pads at such low milage something is very wrong. My first Prius went over 107,000 miles in 7 years on the original brake pads. My Prius Plug-in when 36,000 miles in 10 years on the original pads. In both cases there was still plenty of brake pad left when I moved...
  13. Lets give a shout out to the GOOD dealers

California - Galpin Ford in North Hills. My wife has been a customer of Galpin for many years and has always had a good experience with them. I bought my Mach-e through then as they offered to sell at MSRP if I ordered from Ford with them as the dealer. The purchase experience was very smooth...
  14. Dealers Supposedly Don't Want to Sell EVs!

I personally haven't experienced this problem but have heard of many others who have. People who went to dealerships and the sales person tried really hard to convince them that an EV was not a good fit for them. I was lucky, when I bought my Prius Plug-in I got it through Diane Whitmire at...
  15. Power-Up 6.4.0

So, after letting the car sit for the rest of the day I drove the car yesterday evening. When I turned on the car the car came up on the Radio settings screen since that was the screen it was on when I shut the car down earlier in the day. I decided to try the navigation again and this time it...
  16. Power-Up 6.4.0

I got 6.4.0 this morning on my 2022 Select Standard Range. The message says that it installed correctly but when I turned on the car I noticed that the radio station came up as some none existent AM station. That used to happen but Ford had a fix for it and it hasn't happened in a while. I...
  17. Service Vehicle Soon (SVS) alert popping up approaching 30,000 miles - normal, or a problem ?

IIRC the 3 year or 30,000 mile service is the usually rotate tires check fluids etc. but also adds replacing the brake fluid.
  18. Poor reception, or a warning.

This actually happened in Woodland Hills - BTW Van Nuys has been gentrified somewhat so not that many homeless camps around here now. My favorite NAV glitch is on the 5 Freeway coming into Los Angeles where it misnames the Golden State Freeway (5) as the Glendale Freeway (which is actually...
  19. Poor reception, or a warning.

I live in the LA area and find that the voice directions on the NAV do not always match the direction shown on the map. For example yesterday the NAV system told me to turn left while the map showed me that I should continue straight ahead. The map was correct, If I had turned left I would...
  20. Daily charging

I usually charge up about once a week when I get down to below 60%. An overnight charge on 120V gets me back to between 80 and 90%. If I plan to go on a longer trip I plug in overnight, or sometimes 2 nights in a row, and get the car to 100%.
