  1. Maine Premium wheels, tires, TPMS sensors

Hi. Just traded in my 2021 Mach e AWD premium and dealer took my snow tires that were mounted on different rims. I traded in for a F150 Lightning so keeping it in the fam. So, now I’m selling my premium wheels, with tires (~12,000 miles) and TPMS sensors installed. Can send pictures once I get...
  2. Chargepoint stations at 2 different Kaiser locations wont charge; we've used other non-Kaiser Chargepoint locations.

I had one issue with ChargePoint and their tech support said they would put in a service request for the unit. Just used another one now and plug and charge worked flawlessly.
  3. Range worriers - objective evidence

I hear you although that is not the intent. It is to provide objective data that some people who worry about range can use. On the other hand, the “range anxiety is REAL” posts are the same vein, no? Only a small cross section of the public takes huge trips multiple times per month.
  4. Range worriers - objective evidence

This is how I feel as well and research shows this is how most drivers accumulate their mileage. Of course there are exceptions.
  5. Range worriers - objective evidence

You are assuming that I am assuming my use case works for everyone. ? What I did do was provide objective evidence that a daily commuting vehicle with only a 32 mile battery range and sometimes used for longer trips can deliver sufficiently to meet the needs of my family and perhaps some other...
  6. Range worriers - objective evidence

Friends who worry about electric car range, I have objective evidence for you. In January 2021, we purchased the Chrysler Pacifica minivan. It’s a plug in hybrid (PHEV) that gets 32 miles of battery powered range on full charge. After 6 full months of my wife commuting to work 5 days a week and...
  7. First Edition, worth it?

I’ll need to lay low for a while after this oversight.
  8. First Edition, worth it?

800 miles in myself and I have never been so pleased with a new vehicle purchase before. The waiting sucked.
  9. What efficiency do you get if you drive an EV like an ICE?

Don’t forget about what happened to Radiator Springs!
  10. What's The Best Electric Car? Engineer Explained (Youtube)

Very little desire to listen to yet another engineer was poetic and give arbitrary importance to one set of requirements over another. So of course flame away I am even commenting on this. but… The ? vast ? majority ? of ? miles ? are ? not ? accumulated ? from ? cross ? country ? road ...
  11. Where do you want to drive but the charging infrastructure isn't available yet?

I just returned from a spur of the moment 160 mile round trip mid coast Maine drive. Left my house with GOM saying 170 miles left (58%) and planned on hitting an EV Go spot on the way back for a quick jolt. did not work to plan. Kept getting the charging fault error. Eventually gave up with...
  12. Just placed my order for a Mach E GT

I just saw a space white in person today. We were both failing at an EV Go charger that sucked. Space white is really a gorgeous color in person.

  14. [Update made it home] Stranded. PaaK and password wiped: "All Phone As A Key access and Backup Start Passcodes were removed..."

Biometrics would be so much better. At least I always bring my face with me and the battery for it never dies!
  15. [Update made it home] Stranded. PaaK and password wiped: "All Phone As A Key access and Backup Start Passcodes were removed..."

Oh yes I agree. I am of a certain age as well. but I’m also in electronic and software design so I know what the end result always is when you try make a design feature that works with everyone else’s technology. Eventually the hardware or software changes and then you have a large number of...
  16. Munro Mach-E Teardown - Thermal System Part 2

… this one cut deep. ? but where would you engineers be without a QA team of non-engineers reviewing all your work? J/K you are spot on that the best engineering solutions incorporate inputs and constraints from many sources, not just design possibilities. Everything is a compromise and if a...
  17. Finally arrived!

Love it! Rapid Red is a gorgeous color. How is your little sidekick loving the car? I have 3 boys under 10. They used to be truck fans and loved dad’s former pickup. They quickly converted to wanting rides in the Mach E whenever possible and now I MUST drive them to summer camp every day...
  18. [Update made it home] Stranded. PaaK and password wiped: "All Phone As A Key access and Backup Start Passcodes were removed..."

@ARK and @RedStallion, completely understand how the PaaK feature is a convenience and desired feature for customers such as yourselves. I look at it from a product design and management standpoint where it presents so many problems to the manufacturer that is outside of their control, I would...
  19. [Update made it home] Stranded. PaaK and password wiped: "All Phone As A Key access and Backup Start Passcodes were removed..."

This may sound sarcastic but not intended that way. What exactly is the problem PaaK looking to solve for humans? In my industry we never create a feature or design requirement that does not fill a customer need. considering the ubiquity of fobs, virtual lack of problems for people who carry...
