I had a similar issue with my '21 GT. Front grill parking camera lens sealant likely failed -- moisture intrusion causing a weird image on screen. Warrantied replacement. Easy.
Hi and welcome to the perpetually blown front center speaker club (B&O system)! I'm on #3 replacement now! Not sure why this particular speaker gets blown after every 6mo. I listen to pop music and other boring stuff... Uggg, maybe there's a bad voltage spike after playing Ed Sheeran!
I can get a stinky ERAC (Enterprise) vehicle -- non-EV. I usually opt for my back-up Sienna van or Camry Hybrid and dealer sometimes comps me a tank of gas per week on longer repair holds.
That happened to me once at a local DT store years ago. I spent an hour or two polishing out their deep concentric scratch all along my nice alloy wheel. Dirty equipment pressing against the wheel. Never have gone back.
Update: I'm still driving my '21 GT with all the warnings! About 150mi later and one L2 charge. Keeping speeds under 65 MPH & purposely accelerating like a Smartcar, ha! I asked my dealer to pre-order parts so my downtime will be minimal. I'll likely have to go in for physical in-car scan...
Yeah... OK, that's very true. Uggg, complex problem still unresolved since late '21. So I could be looking at another replacement later on. All our cars should now be covered under a special extended warranty to repair this problem 10 yrs from now.
@Ford Motor Company just needs to perform a part recall on *ALL the GTs* to replace HVBJBs since the failure rate is pretty darn high. It's definitely higher than what was originally reported to owners last year! Uggggg, I purposely did not take this car on road trips to avoid a nightmare...
Darn it! Thought I was going to be the lucky bunch and not get hit with this defect... Well, that ended yesterday at 2:30pm a few miles from home! After a little bit of safe "spirited driving" exiting freeway driving down a surface street, got SVS, wrench, etc. on IPC! Said a few expletives and...
Wow, that sucks big time! Hopefully you weren't injured man! Make sure you submit ALL receipts for any maintenance parts & service you paid for within the last 12 mo to your ins carrier. They should reimburse you. Sometimes the cut-off may be 6mo prior to total loss. Make sure the market...
Well... My GT is catching up... I will be on #3 center dash speaker replacement now! What the heck is wrong with our B & O system or speaker?!? I don't blast my music that high, ha-ha. Still cheerfully covered under my 3/36. Dealer has no issue replacing again... on Ford's dime 100%! Uggg...
I got a great laugh one day when I saw my '21 GT's "speed limit sign" change near downtown LA! If only I could... and grow a couple wings too! [One of the signs I passed had been tagged all over with graffiti, ha!]
I don't like how BC reacts to a "normal" lane-cutter on the freeway (LA). Think new driver reaction who slows late (choppy). There needs to be 45 degree angled cameras front (2) and rear (2) to catch these dangerous scenarios. I would never allow the car to lane-change for me relying solely on...
I had my speed sign recognition fubar too the other day on Blue Cruise. Was crawling in "scenic" LA traffic and had a great laugh when I saw 85 pop up! Good thing I commanded a totally legal speed on BC. Oh, to give Ford a get-out-of-jail free card, all speed signs were plastered in usual black...
Ouch! That's where I'd use the auto- side-mirror-fold button on driver's door. I've accidently pushed it while driving. Order and replace entire side mirror assembly. You can always salvage unbroken parts from original assembly (e.g., camera) for later use, ha. Looks like an easy DIY removing...
Perfect instructions! Repair completed! When clipping on roof, I placed one index finger inside each handle attachment cavity where metal clips are seated to ensure they didn't pop out of position. PIA removing the metal clips from the roof with needle-nose pliers. I'll tell my 10-year old not...
OK, yep... I removed the metal body clips and attached them inside handle (two teeth inside). Then, when I went to attach handle back in roof, metal clips popped out of place in handle. Uggg! Maybe I should install plastic caps/plugs in handle with clips before attaching to roof... or is that...
