So you admit, there is no real reason for Ford to do this, but only a marketing gimmick so that Ford looks kewl and futuristic. A fad...
A governmental agency will step in soon to stop this gimmickry.
"Hey, lets purposely place an XXXL phone on the dash... because people are starring at...
So you don't mind having a HUGE screen in your face, because Climate knobs are to far to reach..? I live in Michigan and I don't think I've touched my climate control in weeks.
Question: do you drive, or fidget when you drive...?
You keep saying that, as if Tesla has the best ergonomics of any car, ever.
Secondly, Ford engineers are under some delusion, that a large cellphone screen is what people want. Because they saw it on a tesla once. A screen is fine, but placing it up so high and so close invades the driver's...
A 15" touch screen is about $90 bucks. Two 9" displays, are about the same. It has NOTHING to do with the cost and everything to do with the "futuristic" design.
Also, who told you that infotainment display has to be line of sight..? (Fake ergonomics?) BECAUSE< doing so means you've just now...
Yeah, someday, but not currently. And again, I was specifically talking about Electrify America and their DC fast chargers.
Again, only 2 in Michigan, and some.States don't even have the 45m chargers. With 300k more EVs on the road next year, there are going to be LONG LINES for fast chargers...
Posting pics, without context is meaningless.
Audi eTron center dash is much more aesthetically pleasing and focus orientated.
I would buy a Mustang Mach E if it had a reasonable driver interface... It does not. Instead, Ford wants you to feel that you are co-piloting a cellphone.
I can go into detail of why Ford's design approach is all wrong. But lets not forget what the main point here, is piloting a car. As such, all cars should be driver-centric.... period!
Human-centric software... is good and well intended, but how that gets to the Driver's eye/sight is...
Yeah, because a restaurant is going to spend $60K on a few chargers…?
Understand Folks, the DC Chargers that charge up un under an hour, are ultra rare throughout the Country. Michigan only has 2... and some States don't have any...
Those are the ONLY chargers that charge rapidly, all other...
It is not 4-wheel drive, it is AWD.
AWD already "disables" when not needed and uses what wheels are. That is why it is called AWD because it changes instantaneously as you drive..... just like you are asking.
If the front is not needed, then it won't use the front as much, depending on how...
First off I've been following Formula E since the beginning, & did watch the video. I am mocking all the people who want to see a Mach E on the track, because I was told it is NOT a track worthy car.... that the Mustang Mach E is a grocery getter and not a performance vehicle.
Yet, am reminded...
No it's not a Ferrari, it's a Mustang...!
And everything you said above, any car can do. You don't need a Mustang to drive HWY 1, you can drive that in any econobox, or car. Or even a laughable volt...
Given your statements, I am not sure you even understand what performance is. A Mustang is...
The reason why it is not well received as a Mustang, is because Ford told us nothing about the suspension... did't show us any footage of suspension linkage, or get technical of brakes.... nothing.
So how do we know, until we can SEE that is based on Mustang handling, etc.
