I'd probably skip it in Central NY. I lived in Western NY for years and the climate wasn't brutal by any stretch of the imagination. I now live in an area that regularly sees over 110F so that's worth it. I do miss my NY summers, those were fantastic!
The only downside to not having the pano roof is that you lose the UV filtering on the windshield. I don't regret not having the pano roof at all, I absolutely think its more of a liability than an asset in all cars (not just the Mach-E).
I had some UV tint thrown onto my windshield so I had...
Realistically, is anyone going to be excited to use a self-help app about their car regardless of it being backed by AI or not? I'd venture to guess no. Sure there will absolutely be some people who memorize the manual, but most people don't even look at it after all. Same thing here.
I also...
I recently got my car back from service and they reset the car. I assumed the PaaK not working was some silly quirk from that but I guess not. I'm on a Pixel phone running Android 16 and its been great, until very recently.
I'll try redoing the PaaK setup in the car and see if that improves...
My dealership is basically putting the blame for the 12v warning entirely on this product specifically saying it keeps waking up the car for "some reason". I am not buying that's an acceptable answer given that the USB ports shouldn't cause degradation to the point of warning or error messages...
Sent my 2025 in for warranty work over this. Seems wild that plugging in a USB-C cable can drain the battery, shouldn't these ports be off when the car is off anyways?

Racecars are built with zip ties.
Had Mobile Service take care of this all on its own today. Took a few minutes. This is absolutely the way warranty services should be handled!
When I scheduled it online through the link via Ford it included it as a zero charge warranty work. Maybe just do that instead of trying to talk to a person who's wrong? It also says we'll be sent notifications via mail and its in my FordPass app showing as warranty work if our car qualifies...
The 2025 MME changed the security system and no longer has tilt or motion sensors. Only time my kids get the alarm going is when they jump out of the car while they're sitting inside the car waiting for me to round up the toddler. They love opening the door...to do things.
They don't set it off...
Given how many cars in Washington don't have front license plates, I've decided to just wait it out. Prior to this I also didn't run a front plate on my car and had zero issues. I drove that car a lot less but, I can't see this being a significant concern unless your local police are bored.
So Ford sends you a notification of the actual problem and yet they still want to charge you $259 for diag? Sounds like you'd be paying the technician to sit around and drink some coffee. Huge rip off, you already know what they're going to find, "replace the battery", its right there in the quote!
This is definitely a mistake in my opinion. Also, the responsiveness of the keyboard on the screen really shows as the most obnoxious thing when you use the backup start codes. I've always preferred rebooting my phone instead of typing my password in!
I've had surprisingly similar scenarios myself (and also my wife). Just suddenly it won't work. You should make sure you setup the door and backup start codes so that you can always get in and start the car even if your phone / car is angry at each other.
Does the heated seats setting not apply to your profile? Got into my car in the afternoon after the wife drove it in the wee hours of the morning, boom heated seats.
My minivan does this better IMO, if it's above a certain temperature it doesn't turn on the heated seats. With driver profiles it...
I read the recall in light of a child in a car seat scenario. Driver parks, turns off the car, opens the drivers door and exits the vehicle. I always instinctively close the door behind me and then go and open the door for my toddler. He could open the door physically if he wasn't harnessed into...
Just upgraded my Pixel 6a from Android 14 to 15 and it went from a proper reasonable experience to a shit show. I haven't gone through clearing the FordPass data, and removing it from the car yet but...appears I'll be needing to.
I took delivery when I still had Android 14 installed, had been...
