Own my Model S for 7+ years. This is Tesla first model and is time to come out with a new model with better interior. Not much complaint against Tesla, very fun to drive. I like to own a compact e-crossover but don't like the Y. Crossovers to consider other than Mach E are Ariya and Q4 e-tron.
When I test drove the 2013 Model S in Washington DC, the sales/staff person was trained and knowledgeable and answered all the questions I asked. This is 7 years ago. I'm very disappointed with the lack of training with Ford dealership.
Yea, I don't mind to have a shorter/smaller SUV with an attractive interior design. 0-60 is comparable to Mach E though. Battery price performance is not as good as Tesla but no one is today.
Ken7, I compare this video from the concept phase vs the production version video reviewed by the Japanese reviewers (English translation) announced on 7/15. The concept Ariya is almost identical to the production version, both interior and exterior. The interior is quite meticulous. Whether...
I never own any Nissan vehicle and cannot comment on the interior materials. However, I did search and watch several Ariya designer presentations and it looks like they did the this vehicle from ground up. The interior design is quite meticulous (with leather seats as well). Watch this video...
Per 7/15 Nissan announcement, Ariya will have CCS charging port for the US version.

I agree. If Nissan understands the US market, they will put CCS on Ariya, not Chademo. I think the future EV charging standard will be Tesla and CCS (sounds like iOS and Android) unless the wireless charging comes along.
In addition, Nissan will announce the production version of slick Ariya on July 15th. Wow, lots of compact SUV to consider in 2021...

Yea, I hope Audi is not pricing the Sportback Q4 too high since Model Y drops 3K and I expect Tesla will drop the price again next year (Mach E too?) due to new battery announcement coming up. That's what technology companies do.
I've been following the e-tron Q4 concept since they announced at Geneva. Evidently Audi will have 2 versions including this one. This Sportback is sleeker than the first concept with the equivalent interior. Some reporters said it starts at $45K on both. I suspect moderate to loaded options...
I consider cancel Mach E reservation for this beauty, Audi e-tron Q4 Sportback, slick design with Audi quality...

I do think the DC fast charger at the dealership is a great sales tool particularly for ICE customers who considers buying EV and they don't know too much about EV charging. My charging experience at Nissan dealer for my Model S 7 years ago, waiting for 3 hours taught me a good lesson.
Nissan has a slick SUV called Ariya coming out in 2021 and costs less than Mach E. This will be my alternative. I wish they can switch to industry standard CCS charge port instead of Chademo but I heard they may have 100KW charge port. They are keeping the spec. so secret, keep our fingers...
If Ford is really serious about EV, they should install the fast DC chargers in their dealership locations (125KW and above). I remember one time I traveled to NY from NC 7 years ago with my Model S, the Superchargers were not around, I have to stop by one Nissan dealer to charge. Waiting...
I like to lease Mach E and wait for the next gen. battery. Wow, this costs a lot to lease Mach E even with the rough estimate. At CES Fisker Ocean announcement, they said the base model costs $37499 before Federal Tax Credit. Lease with no long term contract (3 or more years) costs $379...
Typo, 2024-2025 of course. I do agree a point on no garage to charge overnight. If you take a look at the solid state battery research in the lab, one can charge 80% in 5-10 minutes, of course, to get to mass production is another story. This is equal to the time it takes to fill up the gas...
I just sent in my reservation for the Ocean. I own Tesla Model S for 7 years and has been following the battery technology since then. The technology is now going through the transition with better chemistry, battery w/o cobalt, solid state and others. They are denser, cheaper with faster...
No purchase, no 3 year or more term lease. Lower price than the competition on base model. 30K mileage per year leasing. I am very interested. This is particularly true with the battery technology (chemistry) keeps improving in the next few years. I can lease the Ocean for a few years as my...
