I have a 21 Job 1 and hadn't seen any updates in a loooonng time. Late spring got the minor one to update for Tesla/NACS support and one other minor one about sound or something, but seemed "stuck" at 6.8.0. Just this past week, I jumped to 6.14.0 and had the longest set of release notes that...
Hard to believe that charging info would be so limited. I wonder if it's some misguided attempt to avoid "overwhelming" a typical/non-technical person with "too many numbers". If that is the case or not, this is the first EV I've been in without such a basic piece of charge session data.
Ha - I can see reading my post that way now that I look at it again.
I trust what the app was saying - no reason not too.
I was saying that having to use a phone app to see what the car you are sitting in is actually doing didn't seem valid/correct/appropriate to me.
Howdy,
Just tried out the NACS adapter at a local Tesla station and it worked like a charm. Entire connection to charging process seems much faster than the typical EA "plug&pray" process.
But something that I wanted to see was the speed of the charge (kWatts) and I'm not seeing anywhere on...
Just a caution - the car will eventually go into a "deep sleep" mode if it sit long enough and it may not wake up correctly. Normally not an issue (PaaK or fob).
I use PaaK exclusively and typically leave mine in the airport parking lot for 1-2 weeks. Never had a problem, but did notice that...
So after a week of the driver door not unlocking when pressed, I recharged the car last night. It still didn't work this morning before I drove to the gym, but it worked after that just fine.
Before this, the car was sitting at around 25% SOC. Now it's 90% after charging.
I'm wondering if...
This just started happening with my 2021 job 1 MachE. I walk up - paak/phone or with fob, and the lights come on and the driver's unlock button lights, but pushing it does nothing (even multiple pushes)
If I walk up to the passenger side, it lights up and the button works correctly.
But not...
Well, it's back. I did two things, so I cannot be sure which fixed it (and it's possible it just "came back" and me dorking around was coincidental)
1) I deleted my charge profile for home
2) I turned the connected vehicle stuff off entirely (master switch)
I THINK (with no emperical proof)...
Yeah - like a few things with the app, I'm coming to beleive that it will (or may) "come back", but until the powers that be re-enable it, well....
Thanks for all the feedback - I was mostly curious if this was a common thing or if I just "got lucky" ;-)
They all seem normal in the car - I can adjust the home charging limit and times (I don't have any times set, but). In fact, to "get by", thats what I did to get to 100%, but I'd rather not leave it there ;-)
Yep - that is what I used to see and have used a number of times.
I'm apparently on 4.32.1 under Android 14. Just checked again and that seems to be the "most current" version of the app.
Just got the phantom update today - was (and presumably still am) on PowerUp 6.6 in a 2021 Job1 AWD 4X.
I received a bunch of "delayed" (compared to most) 6.x updates before the xmas break, but this is the first since that stoppage. Hope it's just laying groundwork for future updates (like...
Yep - all the normal app related things (re-installed, rebooted phone, etc), and rebooted the car infotainment system.
Just weird when something thats been there for years goes away for no "reason".
My normal charge-at-home setting is 90%. In the past, when charging, there is a button in FordPass to "Charge to 100%" which I use before going on a longer trip.
Today I'm charging and will be doing a long trip later, but cannot see anything in Fordpass about the fact the car is charging or a...
I've recently complete a 500+ mile "winter" trip with my MachE and because I wanted to take advantage of pre-conditioning before reaching the various DCFC charging stops, I used the ford nav.
Problem is, it kept routing me to things like 6KW, and 50KW chargers where I would have to spend 60+...
Not sure why the Bolt is getting dumped on (a bit). I have a 2019 Bolt and a Job 1 MachE. The MachE is absolutely a nicer car to drive - no question.
But the Bolt is actually a LOT of fun and pretty darn practical. Because it's smaller, it feels a lot more "whippy" than my MachE and at...
Update: at some point in the last few months, Waze has been updated and can go into full screen mode just like Google Maps does.
Color me a happy camper ;-)
Holy Crap! On one hand, thanks for sharing that - I don't think I'll ever forget those instructions now.
On the other - how would anyone figure that out when they are stranded with no PaaK?
Prolly needs to be more than a button - the screen display was basically blank/off - no where for a additional button to bring up.
In the past, when I tested it, it worked well. I tried to start the car with no fob/phone and aftger a moment, the main screen lit up and asked for a backup code...
