I've had two dealership now tell me they can't do it. One just said no they don't have the resources and the other said they attempted to negotiate with third-party glass companies and said the ones they reached out to refused to do the work.
I'm eyeing a third dealership who has their own...
Has anyone ever investigated hiding one of these on the exterior of your car? Like in the wheel well or near the (what would be) hitch area? I think this could pop the hood and then provide some charge to the 12v battery to get the car started again...
Just prepping for the Lightning I have on order and took advantage of a good offer form my local dealership for it. Loved the car and miss it but I do have my wife's non-GT Mach-E keeping me company until the Lightning shows up.
Yea I can't guarantee there isn't something weird where the pedals you linked somehow sit differently on a GT pedal vs a premium but they sure did seem like the same pedals on both when I installed the ones I linked.
What I linked has you take off the rubber pad on the brake and then fit them...
I can tell you I bought these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098TJFSHQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
and installed a set on both a premium and a GT PE and they fit the same on both (just fine).
Can agree - Sam's and phidauex's write up will tell you everything you need to know about the torklift hitch and the 1-up rack. I also added some comments in that thread about my experience.
Got the same setup as you now (forklift eco hitch + 1-up rack) and I wanted to add a comment on the pedal clearance. I concur on what you show, that you get several inches if the pedals are down and none if they are up (the pedals can hit the car).
I had an issue where I put the pedals down...
Another data point: 2, 50lb e-bikes on my rack and a passenger and I was seeing 2.5 today at interstate speeds. It was also in the low 50 Fs when doing so.
As far as parts - they should only need the tools to do it if they don't already have them and the sealant/adhesive right? There aren't any other "parts" to have to get for these recalls.
My kid is so looking forward to the new Forza Horizon game - seeing as they "borrowed" a location from the game I am really hoping some variant of the Mach-E shows up in it!
