    Automatic acceleration - scary situation

If you need to slow the car down hit the brake pedal like it tells you to. Problem solved.

    Charging on Dryer Outlet

80% for continuous load so 30A*0.8 = 24A. You cannot use the Ford charger. You must buy an EVSE that is 24A or adjustable to 24A. The Mach E doesn't have a way to change L2 charging current in the vehicle like some other EVs. Lots of people use the 30A dryer plugs, but they had to buy a 24A EVSE.

Problem with service and Ford is not helping.

Open a case with Ford corporate. At least that way you'll maybe get clearer information and have it all documented. They couldn't work on it if they weren't EV certified. Use a different Ford dealer next time. I believe they will repair your car correctly. However you should post the invoice...

In the back end it shows inhibit "up to 2.5 hours". Obviously what it showed on the screen is different.

24-PU0121-FTDI-FX Update - Battery Optimization + Battery & Remote Start Enhancements

Looks like it was a body control module update so yes according to the description could be something to do with the 12v BMS. Its funny too it says up to 2.5 hour inhibit but its a tiny update that shouldn't take long at all.

Your MME May Also Have a Failed Oil Pump

Also on page 3 of that thread I linked someone changed their fluid at 20k and had a decent amount of metal. I expect that to be normal break in metal.

How to Change Your Oil [Transmission Oil & Gear Oil] - Yes, that's a thing!

Bumping this because I added the procedure for the GT front motor to the original post. Not sure why I didn't do this years ago but here it is. Not sure if anyone is even remotely close to meeting the interval to do the fluid change yet but if you are and have a GT make sure to use the correct...

Your MME May Also Have a Failed Oil Pump

There is no user replaceable filter but it is recommended to change the oil. More here: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/how-to-change-your-oil-transmission-oil-gear-oil-yes-thats-a-thing.5395/

FORScan error | Unable to identify the vehicle

Not sure if you figured this out with FORScan already but your PCM part # should be PK48-14F476-FA or you can just type PK48FA. I don't have your VIN so I can't check for sure. It is possible that Ford just has updated these #'s when doing software updates and FORScan doesn't recognize it...

    Battery balancing service?

Ask them what they even do. Like exact steps. Such a joke to even offer something like this that they can't even do and the car does already. Its like when places charge for TPMS relearn even though Fords since about the early 2010's re-learn the sensors automatically after 2 minutes of driving.

Mach-E cold weather kit: Who wants one?

It is just wasting so much energy by trying to keep the battery warm when it is really cold. The environmentalists should be pissed off at the energy wasted over saving a few dollars in insulation. I honestly couldn't believe the Rivian lost as little as it did overnight. I'm used to the Mach E...

Or just leave it on. Then when it does work it works and when it doesn't...well it doesn't matter.

South Carolina New 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select SUV - $47,998.00

The amount of cringe in this description is hilarious. I cannot believe dealers write this garbage. I don't even think this is an AI written description....but it could be and they didn't bother to check it. "You'll never again be lost in a crowded city or a country region with the navigation...

Is Ford still in the denial stage or have we moved on the acceptance stage??

Yeah, I know it doesn't. I've been driving Fords with lane centering for 4 years and lane assist for like 10 years. Which is why I wish Ford left the lane centering only disable button on the wheel and the lane assist button on the stalk. Leaving lane assist on on roads it doesn't work on...

Is Ford still in the denial stage or have we moved on the acceptance stage??

I do not understand why people hate this so much. Get over it! It's NOT HARD to see the speed on the right side. From Feb 2021 when I got my first edition I have had the speed on the right side of the screen because I always keep the lane assistance on and use cruise control on almost every...

Mach-E cold weather kit: Who wants one?

The lack of insulation in the Mach E battery pack blows my mind. The amount of energy people in really cold climates spend heating their battery is ridiculous. After moving to the Rivian I just thought thats how fast the batteries cooled off. I left the Rivian overnight in -7ºF unplugged outside...
